Hello Everyone,
I regret to inform you that our rally in Danville has been cancelled due the corona virus outbreak. I have just notified the park and of course they were disappointed but understood. You do not have to notify the park individually--they will automatically remove your reservation. If you still wish to go, they are open to the public but you will have to call and get a new reservation.

Beautiful park on the Missouri wine trail in central Missouri. Quiet park in beautiful setting. Near the old German town of Hermann Missouri. Maifest, which is the oldest German festival in Missouri, will be happening this weekend. Hope you will be able to join us. Please register with the park and then let us know the dates you will be there and your site number if known so I can add you to the attendee list.

5:30: Meet and Greet--Chile Dogs, Chips, and Ice Cream (club furnished)

11:15: Lunch at Tin Mill Restaurant (www.tinmillsteakhouse.com) On own and optional but I do need to know who is interested so can make reservations

1:00 PM Hermann Farm Living History Tour--Cost is 17.00-18.00 per person depending on numbers. Need 20 to schedule tour. (www.hermannfarm.com) This is optional but I do need to know who wants to do this tour so can schedule it)
This is a 200 acre farm that honors German immigrants who settled in this area and tells their history. Highlights include, the First Settlement, two
historic homes, period gardens, presentation of Shire Drafthorses, and an
overlook of the Missouri River. It ends at the Black Shire Distillery where
tastings are available for an extra charge. You will be in open air tram pulled
by tractors with a local guide in period costume. The tour is approximately 2
hours.

Saturday 6/16/2020
8:00 - 9:30 Coffee and pastries
Take the rest of the day to experience Maefest in Hermann, MO which is a festival to celebrate the coming of spring and hope for a bountiful harvest. Enjoy shopping the Volksplatz on Schiller Street and German food, music, dancing and parades. At 11:00 AM is Maypole dance with is a German tradition dating back to the 16th century.
Explore all the things that Hermann has to offer
Some hidden gems include:
a. Self-guided river front walking tour--you can pick up a map at the Welcome Center
b. Riverfront museum--free
c. Historic Hermann Museum ($5.00 per person
d. Lots of restaurants
e. Wineries
