After seeing Power’s DS310 thread I figured I would start my own too. We bought ours the last day of Nov. 17. We haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but have done several mods. I’m bad about not taking before pics....only after pics. But I will post the mods here in this thread. Here is some that are either to come or have already been done.

Mod list.

Sewer hose holder
outdoor table holder
sewer connector holder
rear bunk storage mod
DIY tension rods
Master bedroom TV mod
Storage light strip

Re: Brannon’s DS310 mods.

One of the first mods was the wasted space under the TV location in the bunk house. Half of the cabinet was blocked off and when I looked behind the false wall the only thing it was covering was the toilet pex. Don’t know why such space was wasted, but I removed it and re did it.

i am by no means a carpenter, but I do enjoy to piddle. The stain on the trim didn’t match right, but the contrast looks good and nobody should be seeing it anyway. Lol

Re: Brannon’s DS310 mods.

Another mod is cabinet tension rods. I had read that some of the spring rods don’t have much tension on them so while at the hardware store I picked up some 5/8 wood dowel and cut it so it has to be tapped into place. These things are TIGHT!!! It didn’t scratch or marr the walls and if need be I will put a little strip of Velcro on them and the cabinet to hold in place. But the only way I see them moving is if one of the kids uses it as a hand grab to reach the upper shelf. And I still don’t think it would move then.

I also took a weekly medicine box and notched out the bottom to hold our toothbrushes. The original purple just didn’t go with the TT interior. And the wife wants everything Tiffany Blue.

I really like what you did with the lower cabinet in the bunk house. That's on my list now. Thanks!

Greg, I was looking under the sink at the pump, water heater and other things in there and mine has a pretty big void under the sink and towards the door/Wall. One day I’m going to attempt either a slide out cabinet for trash can or either some built in pockets to put misc. stuff in. Such a big area that would be great for misc. items such as flash light, shoes, lighters, or whatever else. Or like the original plan. A slide out trash can.

Ill I’ll try to get some pics this evening of the sewer mods. I’ve done all these little things to it and still never slept in it. Lol

This weekend I ran some LED strips. Ran one along the awning rail, ran a loop along the top of the front storage comp. and installed a porch light. I’ll try to get pic of the new switches and light strips tomorrow.

Campfire, I tied my power into the existing awning roll lights. I just have to use the remote to control the different strips. So I can have one on, or both on, so on and so forth.

What i did is i I bought the light strip and some clamp on “tee” connectors. The panel on mine as you walk in the door to the left is

(Left to right)
awning lights, interior lights, slide, awning

inside of the cabinet there is a false wall

I drilled my hole through the cabinet as high to the awning rail as I could and ran the “tee” inside and picked up the power from the existing awning light switch.

I then drilled a smaller hole inder the “tee” and put the remote antenna eye just flush with exterior wall and sealed everything up.

Put the panel back on inside the cabinet and it all looks factory.

On the storage comp. lights I just ran the lights around the top and tied a switch in with the electric jack power.

I dont have no pics of the porch porch light and switch, but the porch light is just above door, aligned with the holes from led and antenna and switch is between interior lights and slide switch.

Couple more mods.

One of the more popular ones is the sewer hose storage made from vinyl fence post. I like the added room for the hose, and I mounted it near the sewer connector.

I also bought a battery box fom Walmart and mounted it with the other battery box. It holds all the sewer connections and the sewer incline/support thing.

Drilled drain holes in it and it’s also mounted to the trailer frame.

With no TV provisions in the master bedroom I had to find a mount that I could modify so it would allow doors to slide behind tv, but still allow tilt so we can see it good. I removed the panel on one side to make all connections and hide all the cable and wires.

Nice job! I really like the idea of using a battery box for the sewer connectors.

I did the “Vinyl fence post sewer hose storage mod” a few years back. One of the best mods you can do.

Very nice!!

Nice mods! I mounted me a porch light. So now when awning is rolled up i don't have to turn on the led light strip. I wired it directly to 12v at the switches in the cabinet and the light has a on/off switch on it. I like the tv idea in the front bed room.

Couple more last min add-ons.

With 3 daughters and wife a full mirror is a must.
DE8BB947-7EDF-414E-B2BD-5AD6C284CDC3.jpg

I also plan to add one on the inside of the bunk house door.

We had these wine holders and since we don’t drink and a 2 liter Mtn. Dew won’t fit in them we made them a towel holder. But they only hold 4.

One of my pet peeves is I want everything in a nice tidy place where nothing gets mixed in with anything it shouldn’t be with. So I have tubs for misc electircal stuff, a tub with extension cord, dogbone adapters, 15A drop cord and misc. plugs and I have a tub that I LOVE for my water hoses, filters, connectors. Both sides open and I have the fresh hose on one side and the general hose on the other. It all fits perfectly in the front storage compartment.

Love the Modifications. What TV mount did you use? We have been wanting to do this to our camper bedroom. And what did you mount the tv mount to on the wall? Thanks
