I was given an MPG so I'm not complaining but I am doing some analysis. I live in Dallas and thinking about taking my family of 3 to San Antonio Sea World for the weekend. If i tow the MPG with my 2008 Highlander, it will cost me about $.15/mile extra for the towing. Which = $86 round trip.
Couldn't I use that money to get a cheap motel room? I know you'll say I could cook my own food to save also but cooking requires work. Towing also has wear and tear on the vehicle. What are your thoughts on the economics of camping and driving vs. motels?
