gas line in wheel well

To Heartland engineering: In light of the fact that there have been several cases of narrowly averted serious accidents with the placement of the gas line in the wheel well, has there been any thought to moving it to a safer place or putting some kind of stronger protective shroud around it than a plastic tube. From the pictures of the tire blowouts, it looks like it came really close to a potential explosion.

I was told that the engineer did not see this as a problem...

Mine is about 3 inches from the tire for now....
