Heat Reducing Roof Coating

I learned about this Dicor (the Heartland rubber roof vendor) rubber roof coating product that they say reduces interior RV temperatures in the summer, due to their use of small particles with a formed vacuum inside them, that blocks heat transmission like a thermos bottle does. Just wondering if the Cool Coat gives the roof a texture like a shingle? If it does, when you was the roof will the little spheres get "scraped" off like the granules on a shingle?

Looks like sunscreen for roofs with a tiny layer of air-bubble insulation. I would still get second air unit as this treatment does not help with ambient temperatures. Interesting product, however.

At about $500 just for the products for a typical application (main roof only) it's probably more affordable to install the second A/C. Just sayin'...

My sentiments exactly!

It"s is a interesting idea. I may look into it further, however I agree it doesn't seem like a substitute for a second A/C.

I wonder if it helps preserve the EPDM in any way? Or, how long it lasts in comparison to the EPDM? Trace
