Yes - I love it! Make it happen. Maybe you chapter leaders can assist Forrest in co-hosting.

Sounds good Jim. Are you going to set up a Nevada Chapter so we can post in it?? Pat and I will be in Montana the week of Sept. 6th but will try to make it. Maybe we could make it the Fall Rally. Bob:D

You are in the Nevada Chapter Bob. What does not exist is a Nevada Rallies forum. I am reconsidering how I have these sorts of things setup and I think most will agree that we have rally conversations in the chapter forums and chapter/club discussion in the rally forums. It's all so closely related. I am considering a single forum per chapter to discuss all club chapter and rally discussions.

Karen and I will be back to Henderson next Tuesday. The Oasis RV Resort is about 10 miles from our home. We will stop by next week to see what they have to offer and for warn them the Heartland herd may arrive in September. I hope to have a good turnout, the weather should be nice. The Oasis website listed a few of the many things happening around Vegas. In addition, for those of you looking for someplace to retire, we moved to Sun City Anthem, Henderson, NV and love it..........55+ community with 7200 homes, 75,000 rec center and building a second one, and a whole bunch of very nice people.

If this rally goes forward, for those interested but are unable to bring their RV (probably only me), there are a couple of nearby hotels that the CG recommends. I spoke to Oasis today about it and they suggest:

Silverton Hotel and Casino
Across the I-15 from Oasis
702-263-7777
Red pin in map link (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=102395720798360567231.00044a85bb81491e0470c&ll=36.027167,-115.172253&spn=0.04151,0.063&z=14)

South Point Hotel and Casino
3 miles from Oasis
702-796-7111
Blue pin in map link (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=102395720798360567231.00044a85bb81491e0470c&ll=36.027167,-115.172253&spn=0.04151,0.063&z=14)

You can walk to the Bass Pro Shop in 5 to 10 minutes from the Oasis, its right across the freeway.

Forrest, it looks good to us. (Suzi said so) The later the better for that NV sun......We will probably come in a day or so early and leave on Monday or something like that......Pulling that BH in Sunday Vegas traffic is no fun......even picking up the 15 at Baker.
You are the boss on this one, but we would like to be in the close proximity of the dog runs, since I am asking, cocktail service would be nice also.......

Hello: We belong to the So Cal chapter even though due to my broken leg at the moment we have not made any rallies. Would be intersted in Las Vegas. Have driven through the Oasis and it is first class all the way. And right accross the freeway is the Silverton and a Bass pro shop.

You might want to read those pet rules closely. I don't like the reward system they seem to have set up there. I know I gonna hear about it...but, there seems to be a preception of guilt on the dog poop.

Hope you and Debbie can make the NV rally. DennisZ is in LV this weekend on business, we may meet him and check out the Oasis RV Resort Sunday for rally planning. The LV weather in September should be warm, but not boiling hot. I received the NV rally flag from Jim B. today. Karen and I have plans tomorrow morning, but if you and Debbie are available Friday PM give us a call..........702 823-5580.

DennisZ and I will verify that Oasis trims all low tree limbs before your rally arrival......

We enjoyed visiting with you and Debbie at the Socal rally.

Karen and I toured the Oasis RV Resort, Las Vegas today to start planning the Sept 26/28 rally. 3 Bighorns, 1 Landmark, and 1 Sundance were staying at the Oasis. All had Nevada registration except the Sundance registered in Montana. The Sundance owner lives in Alberta, Canada and will be heading home May 1. I left business cards on the other 4 RVs with rally information.

The resort is first class, adult pool with jacuzzi, family pool, restaurant with full bar, meeting rooms, and small store. All sites have concrete pads and gravel yards. A shuttle runs between the resort and Silverton Casino.

Start your planning now......................the more the better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about the registration problems at the Oasis Las Vegas Resort for the Sept 26-28 Nevada Rally. Ivette Martinez, General Manager, confirmed the rally two weeks ago when she received my rally flyer. I spoke to her last Thursday, finally after three phone calls and one email, she insured me the flyer was at the registration desk. Apparently that was not the case, I called registration Friday, as did DennisZ and Uncle Rog, only to find out Ivette had not informed registration. I will be in her office tomorrow to get things under control.

If any of you have registration problems.........please email me or post on this thread or call me..............702 823-5580.

Remember.................you can come two days early and stay two days late @ group discount rates..........$35 weekdays.

Thanks and hope to see a bunch of you at the rally............

Howdy, we have space #302, Linda took my name , zip code and phone number and gave me a confirmation number.
She didn't ask for a card number though?
When I told her we had the original 1962 HL Liberator she got a little defensive, in fact really defensive, it took a couple of chuckles to calm her down!
We are both looking forward to the trip, we (unfortunately) only have one other planned so far this year. That will have to change...........

Karen and Forrest,
Thanks so much for a great Las Vegas Rally. You guys were great hosts and thanks god you technical gurus fixed or installed all those watchamacallits! Also, the potluck was outstanding, the company was great, and we met alot of new friends and saw alot of old ones. If it wasn't so hot, it would have been perfect. Very nice campground. Does anyone know if JimBo really has a rig? He keeps flying in to these various rallies. Tough job I guess but someone has to do it! Btw, JimBo is a great guy and a terrific soundboard on anything to do with Heartland RV's and enhancing the rigs. Forrest, thanks for coming back and helping me out. You are a saint. And Dave (sleepless) stay out of those tunnels and Sue nice singing. DennisZ have u lost your cooking touch and Deb you can still knock down those shots! LOL. Kathy and Dave, we will see you at the NoCal rally and wine country rv resort. Cindy and Art you are a cute couple. Keep in touch! Debbi sends her regards to all her new friends. Too bad Cranky Bob was too cheap to show up. We missed him.

Well..... Since we are all patting each other on the back, I guess I'll weigh in and say and few things about this rally:

I attend, host, co-host a lot of rallies and they are "all" different. This was a very fun one too!
Largest (700 sites!) CG I have ever been in
Only CG in 5 years of RVing that I have used the pool
When I was in the pool (hoping to not get harpooned!), just looking around, palm trees, beautiful skies and all, it was very hard to believe I was at a CG
Heartland owners have more talents than RVing - karaoke!
It gets REAL HOT in Las Vegas. It is the desert I guess.
It gets really nice in the evening - loved it!
It was very cool to see old friends again (Dennis, Forrest, Larry, Jim H and spouses) as well as make new friends
DennisZ's tri-tip was better than it was at the SoCal rally - yummo!
Fun helping people with their mods - even though I doubt I am supposed to do that - oops :)
Forgot my camera in my truck back in Chicago - oops. Thanks for taking pics Karen!
Great rally - you guys need to plan another - maybe for spring?

Great job Forrest and Karen :D

I forgot to add, thanks JimBo and Heartland for buying a few cases of beer, a bottle of tequila, sodas, and munchies. Now one of these days JimBo will actually bring his rig to a rally, instead of staying at the Silverton Room 1069. Just ask Juanita about that room. Ok JimBo we will keep it a secret. LOL

Hi to all my Nevada Rally friend. I thought I would drop you a note to tell you that Oregon will be holding a June rally next year at Seven Feather RV. Check out the Forum Oregon Rally Dates Set (//heartlandowners.org/showthread.php?t=7510)
