Leak found at floor and wall

Just discovered a soft spot on our floor where it meets the wall, about half way under a window. No sign of wall paper damage that would indicate it ran down the wall. Caulking doesn't look bad but could be redone. Did find a couple of window screws loose. Any other suggestions? Take out the window and look down the wall? Is that possible.

If the caulk looks iffy, you really should re-caulk.
I also suggest that you caulk three sides of the window. Two sides and the top.
Better sooner than later.
