Crock Pot Cornbread Dressing

6 cups cooked cornbread
8 slices day old bread
4 eggs
1 medium onion, chopped (can use rehydrated onion flakes, at least 1/4 cup)
1/2 chopped celery
1-1/2 Tblsp sage or poultry seasoning (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 10.5 oz cans cream of chicken (can use 1 cream of chicken and 1 cream of celery or mushroom)
2 10.5 oz cans chicken broth or turkey broth
1/2 cup butter
salt as needed

1. Lay bread out on counter the night before you prepare dressing so it will dry.
2. Crumble bread and cornbread in large bowl.
3. Add all ingredients to bowl except butter. Salt to taste.
4. Pour into spraye crock pot.
5. Dot with butter
6. Cover and cook on High for 2 hours or Low for 4 hours.
