I found this on another forum. It is given to Ford Dealers to calculate towing capacity for their potential buyers. I thought a few of you might find it usefull.

Hello, I am new to this forum, but have owned a 2014 Big Country 3450 since new and enjoyed every trip. My question, I am looking at a 2013 F250 Power Stroke, Crew cab, short box with 355 rear end gearing. The owners manual states a GCWR of 19,200 lbs. I have seen other official looking ratings on the web that show this combination with a 23,500 GCWR. The truck is 8400 lbs loaded and the trailer is 14,600 loaded for a total of 23,000lbs. Does anyone out there tow similar weight with same rear end gearing? If so do you have any issues? According to the users manual, if the truck were to have 410 gearing there would be no issue. I currently tow with a 2003 GMC Duramax with 373 rear end with no issues.

I wouldn't even think about exceeding the owner's manual GCWR of 19,200 lbs.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Check out Www.rvtowcheck.com. There may be other areas you are exceeding as well.

That 19,200 GCWR could be for a bumper pull.

Peace

What's your truck's payload rating? If you're over that, I'd be more worried about that than gross combined! Your pin weight has to be around 3k! Your GCWR is in your manual!

That site works for my 2012 truck, but does not seem to be for the 2018 trucks. For example the Combined weight is significantly different. https://www.ford.com/trucks/super-duty/models/f350-king-ranch/

I want to thank everyone for your responses. I will take your advice and stay with the recommended GCWR in the manual.

I'm sure it varies by year and configuration.
