Turn off the pump or water source and empty any water from the bowl then spray the ball area with silicone spray. This will help for several weeks, repeat as needed.
It can be done! We have an Augusta and had to take the dryer out for a belt repair. You need to slide it on its back and tip it up. Its a two person job. Good luck.
Did you try using an extension cord to another outlet to see if fireplace works at all? Many RV outlets are just push in the wire type and come loose after travel. Good luck.
