    Installing Second Air Conditioner

Did you find one to look at? I am in the same boat and wondering how others dealt with the contour of the ceiling.

Potential leak on all toy haulers

You have to removed the vertical carpet covered wood pieces from the inside rear sides of the camper to get to the bolt nuts. My carpet covered wood pieces were attached with 3 screws. It was easy to remove. I purchased some 1/2" bolts and will replace them today and seal everything up.

Potential leak on all toy haulers

If you stand at the back of the camper, you should see 3 button head bolts on each side of the ramp door towards the bottom that is in the camper metal framing. These are the six bolts I am talking about. I tried to upload a photo but can not get it to work.

Potential leak on all toy haulers

Yesterday evening I had time to remove one of thebolts and I believe I have found the problem. The bolts are 3/8” diameter but the hole in the framing measures about 9/16”;therefore, the head of the bolt is just slightly larger than the hole. Ifthe bolts are not installed dead center of the...

Potential leak on all toy haulers

Attention all toy hauler owners, your camper may have a leak that you may not find until it’s too late. If you look at the back of your trailer there are 3 torque head bolts on the bottom of each side of the ramp door framing that most likely leak. My toy hauler is 1.5 years old and never...

    Poor Brakes

Crazy Cooter your post says labor paid. Is Heartland or Dexter paying and are you doing the work?

    Poor Brakes

Looks like a common issue. I would like to know the reason for having 7000 lb axles with 6000 lb brakes. I wonder who I can send the bill to for all my time and labor to change the brakes myself!!!!

    Poor Brakes

I never spoke to Heatland about the issue, I only called Dexter. Let us all known what Heartland says and if you could mention the wire size to them.

    Poor Brakes

I installed the new 7000 lb brakes that Dexter sent me this past weekend. I made a test run after installation and they appeared to perform a little better. I am hoping after the new brakes break in they will perform even better. I think the biggest issue with the Road Warrior and Cyclone...

    Poor Brakes

Just got off the phone with Dexter. My axle serial number shows that they are 7000 lb axle tubes that have been de-rated to 6000 lb capacity. They then looked at the build specifications and determined that the de-rated capacity was because they were built with 6000 lb brakes. Dexter did not...

    Poor Brakes

The brake part numbers are on a sticker on the inside of the brake backer plate; therefore, you have to remove the tire and drum to see the numbers. I read that the wires coming from the magnet are white for 6000 lb brakes and black for 7000 lb brakes. You could check the wires first, but make...

    Poor Brakes

I see a lot of Road Warrior and Cyclone owners complaining about poor brakes. I too have always felt that my road warrior brakes were not up to par. So a few days ago I was greasing the bearings and inspecting the brakes, and noticed that my camper may have the wrong brakes. My Road Warrior...

I am the same way. I requested an email stating the work will be done in September, but as of now I have not seen anything. If I do not see one by tomorrow I will give Steve a call back.
