I lost a bunch of money on the trade but it was well worth the fact I didn't have to deal with selling it. I'm just past my capacity on a loan now though...so it may be a bit for extra's. Really wanted slide toppers.
I just used fine pitch deep thread wood screws to put in a couple of hooks in the stair well of our sundance. They were only designed for one coat and the 2 screws alone did a good job of holding the hook to the paneling. A wall anchor maybe better but its really just the paneling you need to...
Diesel = More BTU of energy per volume than Gasoline
Bed length is personal preference, I prefer long bed.
Dually = More stability and increased safety factor over a single rear wheel truck.
My answer stands having a tuned truck would not have necessarily changed the scenario. Although towing in a race mode would not be good for the tranny.
Are you tuned or stock.
Tow-Haul Mod or just normal?
When hauling up a long hill and trying to accelerate the truck in tow haul will down shift to keep in the RPM band while accelerating. Downshift to get moving than upshifts to lower the RPM. When you are going 60 MPH and it does it with a...
I personally like to watch the fails.
Having a CDL I will say it's far easier to back a 40'+ van than a 5' bumper tow. Anything shorter than the trucks wheelbase gets kinda squirrelly.
I just bought a 4100 which we intend to use as a home while I build our home, after that it will be used for camping. And when we retire, to spend time on the road.
I full intend to use the garage as a mud room/dining room/office.
What I find funny is my dealer shows 235/80r16 E's on the 4100 I'm picking up but Heartland lists them as 235/85r16 G's on their site. Both are 2016...
I completely agree with fifthwheelst as a reference good info.
However to each there own and each truck has it's niche. My SRW F350 hauled our Sundance ok but it was temperamental, now we are picking up a Cyclone 4100 King the weight is well over the max on the Sundance. However having hauled...
Well FEMA finally came through and we are now moving into a unit this week, just in time as we depart next week for CA. However we will not be traveling in the Sundance as I have a truck in KS to pick-up and the wife won't drive the rig that far alone, it what will most likely be snow.
On a...
I always use truck stops even when empty, the nozzle is bigger the fuel is always fresh and there is usually an open stall. And you know if a long base Peterbilt 379 with a 53' stretched axle can maneuver to the stall you can too. And I know anywhere you can get your truck I can get my tractor...
Diesels already have an EGR. Sounds like Ford is just promoting it differently. Not sure about the 6.7L but the 6.4L had variable fin technology on the turbo, to act like an exhaust brake.
The dealer was really great for me, although I dropped the ball and still have the warped table. All they needed was pictures and they were going to take care of the rest. Like I said I dropped the ball.
In all honesty as a wood worker it was mostly due to an impasse with the wife and my...
