I also lost the top fridge vent cover. Heartland was helpfull replacing it although the first one they sent was different (needed to send picture to get one to match the lower cover). So I wouldn't loose one again I secured both fridge vents with stainless steel sheet metal screws.

It was raining the morning we left "The Spit" Homer, Alaska but attached are two beach pictures 5000+ miles from previous beach picture. Also one of a neighbor. john

Improvements I have made before traveling west .......... Beefed up the batteries to two real deep cycle batteries. Added a !000 watt inverter ..... although if I had it to do over again would have installed a 1500 watt to be able to also use the microwave. Installed two 85 watt solar panels...

I own a 2011 Edge M21 and this past year my wife and I have traveled probaly further most owners of an Edge. Although there were some issues I would definetly recomend the Edge as an RV of quality.

By the way ........... the battery box cover I fabricated from a Rubbermaid type container painted with plastic spray paint ........ I like the installation of the battery cut off switch in the previous post ...... Although I realize now I did not post a clear picture of my installation on top...

I have an M21 and replaced the original battery with golf cart batteries. Due to the added weight also reinforced the battery mount with a center support. The propane tanks have to be removed to remove the battery cover but do not have an issue with having to tip the batteries for removal...
