    M26- Did I get a lemon?

Sorry to hear about all of these issues. We've been lucky with our M26. However, I almost lost my tank handles too. I just happened to notice it half-way on a trip from Houston to Salem. We were in Moab for a few days and the handle for my grey tank fell off in my hand. A little locktite...

    Thankful to have a TT!

Indeed! For me just being able to stay onsite has made our trailer investment more than worth it. I suspect when this is all said and done a few of our neighbors will be the proud new owners of some camping equipment too! :) I've already had a few come by to admire the M26 :) - - - Updated...

    Thankful to have a TT!

My family and I were one of the many impacted by Harvey. We got 2 feet of water in our home and had to gut the entire first floor. While many of my neighbors are having to stay at hotels we were able to bring our M26 home and have been staying in it while we work on the house. It's been nice...

    TPMS and rubber valve stems...

Went by the storage lot today to check on the trailer and to take a few pre-storm pics (just in case something happens) and I also snapped a pic of the rub marks on my wheels. You can see where the sensor was rubbing on the wheel and you will now see the new valve stems. Don't mind the strings...

    Glad your situation wasn't worse!

    TPMS and rubber valve stems...

I didn't take a pic since the valves were all fine when we were stopped. But I have no doubt that it was the sensors making contact with my wheels (while in motion) that left the marks. I'll take pics of the sensors on the wheels next week when I bring the trailer home for our Labor Day camping...

    TPMS and rubber valve stems...

I think I read somewhere that you should switch to metal valve stems when you use external TPMS sensors on your trailer tires. Made sense to me, but I didn't have time to do it before my long cross country trip a few weeks ago. I am posting this up as a reminder to GET IT DONE if you have...

What made you pick the Mallard? and other newbie questions

We purchased our M26 because we felt that we got the most bang for the buck AND we got everything that we wanted/needed. Larger bunks for the kids, a usable bathroom, a super slide and outdoor kitchen. All that in a nice and great looking 32' package. I originally wanted to keep it under 30'...

2018 M26 - Should I be worried about the tires?

These are westlake super st's, load range E, with 75 mph max speed rating, which is why I kept it around 70 most of the way. Towmax's would have been tossed before the trip. Too many horror stories with them. I'll be looking at a set of Carlisle's when I replace them.

2018 M26 - Should I be worried about the tires?

Thought I'd update this post now that my cross country trip has been completed. I towed our M26 from Houston to Moab for a couple of days and then on to Salem, OR. The trailer was on the road for over 4K miles and it was very hot along the way. For the trip to OR I had my TPMS sensors on...

No brakes on front axle (M26

Indeed. When I was dumping the tanks prior to departure in Moab the handle for the blackwater tank came off when I opened the valve. I was like WTF!!!! Turns out the rod that the handle is on wasn't tightened down enough. Checking the greywater handle I found it loose too. Nothing a little...

No brakes on front axle (M26

So... I towed our M26 from Houston, TX to Salem, OR. Over 2200 miles over the course of 5 days (stopped in Moab for a couple of days. I am happy to report that I did not get a single message from the truck regarding the wiring. I'm glad that nothing else came up on this trip. I expect things...

No brakes on front axle (M26

Ever since we bought our brand new M26 my truck (2017 Sierra Denali 2500) would flash messages saying "check the trailer wiring". It would come on intermittently while on the road. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of taking it into CW (plus I didn't have the time to be without the...

Thank you all for the feedback. I'm feeling better about what's under the M26 now :).

2018 M26 - Should I be worried about the tires?

I JUST ran across a thread on a Forest River forum where others had similar things to say. I think what I may do is just pick on an extra spare so I can have two spares with me for the long trip. How long have you had yours (about how many miles have you put on them)?
