How do you connect the pre-wired 20 watt panel can't seem to turn on the solar unit

So we just purchased a 2022 heartland cyclone 4006. We are boondocking and have a solar panel Installed on the roof but can't get the controller to turn on. Has anyone had a similar experience? Manufacturer has been less than helpful so far.
