2011 Big Country 120v "intermittent" issues

Re: 2011 Big Country 120v "intermittent" issues Thank you very much for the suggestions and advice. I will check the cord and gain access to the back of the circuit breaker panel looking for damaged/loose wiring. I really appreciate the help! Dave - - - Updated - - - Thank you...

2011 Big Country 120v "intermittent" issues

Thank you for the suggestion Erika. I didn't see any obvious issues at either end but I will do a continuity check tomorrow while flexing the cable around. Maybe I will find a wire with high resistance. Thanks again!

2011 Big Country 120v "intermittent" issues

Bill, thank you for the extensive reply and recommendations. I will definitely investigate the HW-50C. I was curious about the shore power but had no way to analyze the incoming power. Many thanks again! Dave

2011 Big Country 120v "intermittent" issues

Hello and thanks for reading my issue: We've had our Big Country 5th wheel since Oct 2010 and have had no electrical issues until this past weekend, at our favorite park, while connected to a 50 amp shore power. It was hot so we had both AC units running (as we normally do), the water heater...

    Hensley Trailersaver TS3 vs. BD3

I'm sure you've bought a hitch by now...but I just ran across your post and thought I would give you my two cents as the owner of a BD3 hitch. First of all, I love the function of this hitch. While the bed of the truck and the king pin are moving up and down, the hitch airbags do a great job...

    Portable RV Shelters

Hi, just wondering if anyone is using or has any experience with the "portable RV shelters" constructed of the 2 3/8 powder coated steel tubing and covered with 9.5 to 21.5 oz waterproof fabric? I live in northern VA where we have the occasional thunderstorm during the summer and light to...

2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride with 2011 F350

Re: 2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride??? After some additional measurements and conversation with our salesman as well as specs on the pin box, we feel comfortable that we'll be able to tow safely without making any adjustments to the truck or 5er. Thank you for the information!

2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride with 2011 F350

Re: 2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride??? Thanks for the information! I feel better knowing that a "like" setup is working well for you. We're going to pick up our 3450TS this Friday and I can't wait to get on the road with it. Thanks again! Dave

2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride with 2011 F350

Re: 2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride??? Trailer height and CG are very much on my mind. The last thing I want to do is raise the 5er. I'll have a better idea of my options once I talk to Ford tomorrow. Hard to believe they can't simply lower the tail end a couple of...

2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride with 2011 F350

Re: 2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride??? I was afraid that may be a primary alternative. Can you suggest what can been done to beef up the suspension? Springs, bags, etc? Thanks again for the advice!

2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride with 2011 F350

Re: 2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride??? Thanks for the information Bighurt. Looks like I may have made a very costly error in selecting a truck with the off road pkg. The heck of it is I really didn't want the off road pkg...but got a great deal on the truck. Live and learn I...

2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride with 2011 F350

Re: 2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride??? Ray I'm not 100% sure if the front needs to come down or not. Currently the front tire is 8.5" from the lip of the wheel well and the rear tire is 10.5" from the wheel well. I think the truck will ride level...although I'll bet I have to...

2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride with 2011 F350

Re: 2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride??? Thank you for the advice. I probably should've gone with the F250 but wanted the extra payload for a heavier 5ver. I'll have to see what Ford says on Monday. Thanks again!

2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride with 2011 F350

Re: 2011 Big Country King pin Height for level ride??? Thanks Dan and Ruth Ann, I actually have the hitch in it's lowest setting already. Btw, love the look of your Sierra and Rushmore! Any issues with the SRW? I simply couldn't justify a DRW for my daily driver and part time tow vehicle.
