Alternative tires for a 2007 Sundance 2900 RK

Thanks! I'll have to check this on my next trip out to the trailer. We have it stored several miles from our home, but I'll be heading out soon. Again, thanks to all for the helpful information.

Alternative tires for a 2007 Sundance 2900 RK

After talking with the local tire dealer, I am leaning toward buying the Maxxis 15" with the load "E" rating. Does anyone know how to tell if the wheel can take the additional pressure and weight? Is this marked on the wheel somewhere? The local tire dealer did not have a clue as to how to...

Alternative tires for a 2007 Sundance 2900 RK

Thanks, I hadn't thought of the wheels not being able to take the extra weight and pressures. However, I think if I need to change wheels, I'll probably go with the 16" wheels and get the wider selection of "LT" tires. Do you know if the 16" wheels will fit on the 2007 Sundance? Also, if I'm...

Alternative tires for a 2007 Sundance 2900 RK

Hi, My wife and I just completed a 3-month tour of the Western U.S. and Canada with our 2007 Sundance 2900 RK trailer and would first like to say that the trailer worked great!!! We drove over 10,000 miles with no problems and thoroughly enjoyed the trailer and its capabilities. However...

Reese 18K Signature Series - Advice?

Reese hitch with slider I have the Reese 18K Signature series hitch, with the slider option, on my 2006 Dodge Ram pickup pulling a 2007 Sundance. I do not have to use the slider often, but it has come in handy at times. I have gotten into a couple of tight spots where I needed the extra...

Waste Basket under the kitchen countertop

Thanks for the suggestion! This is very helpful and will probably save me from a lot of future grief. I think I'll also coat the bottom of the countertop, around the opening, before I put the stop on. I'll get some epoxy and acetone when I'm out getting the hinge. I got a chance to read...

Waste Basket under the kitchen countertop

Thanks for the quick reply. It is a laminate over a particle board and your warning about getting wet is well taken. I was planning to add some type of edging to cover the raw edges, but will now consider something that will protect it from water. The good news is that the opening will be...

Waste Basket under the kitchen countertop

I have been reading articles on the forum for over a year and especially enjoy reading about ways members have modified their trailers. I'm planning of making another modification to my Sundance and wanted to run it by the members to see if anyone has already done this or if they have...

    Any thoughts?

I used some 1 inch Styrofoam insulation to fill the larger areas and then used expanding foam on both sides of the Styrofoam to completely fill the area and hold the Styrofoam in place. So far it seems to be working well.

    Living Room Ceiling Vent

We have the Sundance 2900 RK and had a power fan added to the vent in the kitchen ceiling. The nearest electrical for us was at the closest ceiling light. The problem with this is that the switch for the kitchen lights, located in the entryway cabinet, now controls the fan and the lights. For...

Hot Water Heater Drain Value size

Thanks! According to my measure that is what it looked like, but I thought the sockets would only come in 1/8 '' increments. Thanks for setting me straight. :)

Hot Water Heater Drain Value size

Last week I tried to remove the hex nut from the hot water heater to drain the tank, but could not get it off with a channel locks. I plan to buy a socket wench to get better leverage on it. Can you tell me what size the hex nut is on a heater for a 2900 RK Sundance. I tried to measure the...

Prospective Buyer - Concerns / Questions

Hi Wes, I have not logged in recently, so sorry for the late reply. I was the person whose son had the slide problem and got it fixed in California. I just wanted you to know, that I am very happy so far with my Sundance. I have the 2900 RK which I purchased this spring. After my son...

    Flex Guard Suggestion

I like the Flex Guard idea for supporting the electric wires under the master slide, but would like to suggest an improvement. Since the flex guard is bolted flat to the trailer body and then must flex 90 degrees when the slide is opened, it seems to have a very short life expectency. Ours...
