ATF: North Trail - Shower floor

Slide the front hatch open and add some wood supports around the drain.

ATF: North Trail - Caulking the trailer

I replaced the fresh water intake and the dealer gave me some caulk that came in a roll. I just tore off the length I needed and pressed it around the openning. Not sure who makes it. It was gray in color.

    Fan speed and shower floor.

Hi WesHawkins. I had the same spongy feel on my shower\tub floor. I openned the hatch on the front of the shower and added some wood supports around the drain. Something to check on the radio-see if the alarm is set. It drove me nuts for a week because it was on everytime I went to the camper.

FIXED: NT - Soft spot in kitchen floor

Re: ATF: North Trail - Soft spot in kitchen floor Hi. Contact Jim Fenner at Heartland. I have the same camper and my whole floor was soft. I just dropped it off at the factory in Elkhart Indiana this past thursday and they are going to replace the whole floor for free, even though its out of...

    Towing a 28 BHS

Hi everyone. I'm sure this question has been answered somewhere but I need an answer soon. I'm headed to the factory tomorrow from Omaha Nebraska and I'm using my dads Chevy 1-ton dually long box to tow it there. My question is do I need to use the weight distribution bars? It sits a little nose...

Is Camp Site Electrical Source Test Necessary?

I owned an RV for 3 years before I bought my North Trail last march. I finally joined this forum and the North Trail forum last summer. I have learned so much since then. I ordered my surge protector from Tweetys.com just yesterday. I just wanted to thank everyone who takes their time to share...

    Generators

Just bought a Champion generator this morning on sale at Cabelas. I decided on 10w-30 oil for the temp range. What brand of oil is everyone using? Also has anybody modified theirs to make them a little quieter?

    Where was Heartland?

Found out why my local dealer wasn't at the show. When Camping World across town started selling Heartlands, they commited to 300 campers. Heartland apparently wanted my dealer to do the same but they just couldn't commit to that many, so Heartland pulled their campers from them. My dealer...

Sewer discharge hose storage - North Trail

At Camping World, they have different lengths PVC tubing with caps already attached at each end. The price is reasonable. You can mount it across the tongue behind the battery.

    Where was Heartland?

I don't know the cost to display but the other dealers in town were out in force. Its hard to sell anything if you don't get your product out there for people to see. I'm sure they would of sold a few. I quit counting at 20 the number of sold signs I saw on other units. I had a few friends that...

    Where was Heartland?

I went to the Sports and Travel Show in Omaha Nebraska today and of the 60+ campers there, not one Heartland. Another reason I'm disappointed in the local Heartland dealer. They also sell boats. And they had at least 20 boats and other boat accessories there. And the local Camping World was not...

    Poll: Overall Dealership Experience

I'm with you. Mine sat at the dealer for two weeks without ever moving. That was as of last friday. With the holiday, I doubt if it will get done this week! Very frustrating....

    Tripod

Both jacks? No. One jack? yes! To finish the story, I was helping my dad set up his 5th wheel and after he pulled the truck out, the front left jack broke. He was just getting out of the truck. Sounded like a gunshot. The whole camper, all 37 feet of it, rocked to that corner. The corner came...

    Tripod

You have a too big investment to rely on a few brackets and a couple of shear pins. To me, there is a lot of weight on them two legs. If one leg were to break, what are the chances the good leg will support the weight of the whole front end? My dad had a 5th wheel and always put out his tripod.
