I want at at least 2000 watts but I think I'm going 3000 watts. I really don't need that big with a built in generator since I dont plan to run the AC on the inverter. If I need AC I'll fire up he Gen. My understanding is that the Onan pulls air in from the front side and pushes the hot air...

Well some of my question have been answered. 1. I'll have to include a transfer switch 2. The inverter will have to be mounted close to the batteries. Now the problem is where do I mount the converter?

Thanks Brian. I appreciate the response. One thing I'm trying to avoid is reconfiguring any breakers or factory wiring with the exception of the converter. I don't plan on running the AC unit on the inverter or exceeding the 2000 watts. If I need AC I'll start the gen.
