It turns out that the replacement pigtail I bought was the wrong diameter. We managed to get through our camping last year with just swapping bottles, but I want to replace it before we go out again this spring.
While looking at replacement pigtails on Amazon, I can't tell if I should get the...
Good question... It's entirely possible that I did drain it and just don't recall. When I realized after our 4th of July trip that I may not have drained the hot water tank when I winterized it, I frantically searched as best I could behind it for evidence of water leaks and found nothing...
We never drink tap water, let alone any from the trailer. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. It's more a concern for washing dishes and hand washing.
We always bring plenty of bottled water on every trip for drinking and cooking.

When routinely checking my exterior propane lines on our Mallard M28 with soapy water, I found a cracked line from the driver's side external tank to the "T" shaped regulator where the bottles are mounted on the tongue. Frankly, it looked like it had been slit with a knife, but I'm not going to...
I didn't follow my checklist last fall and forgot to drain the water heater while winterizing. We've only had our Mallard M28 out twice this year so far due to work obligations, and I did't realize the error until we got back from our last trip. My wife and both had trouble with intermittent...
I can leave it on shore power overnight, so this sounds like a good compromise, in addition to making sure the outside shower, sink and low point drains are open and fully drained (they should be, but I'll double-check).
Does the furnace need to be at 72 to make sure the basement and lines in...
Hello all,
My wife and I are leaving near 10/16 for a road trip to KY with our Mallard M28, but we're looking at below freezing temps the next three nights and possible snow tomorrow (10/9). Our Mallard hasn't been winterized yet due to the upcoming road trip, and the forecast is for...
That makes me wonder if Camping World did winterize it. We were just told it was winterized, and they said nothing about it coming from the factory winterized. Either way, the process apparently failed to protect the water lines. Knowing that, I would think Camping World would have taken it up...
So this turned into quite an adventure...
We dry camped with bottled water on our Memorial Day trip and didn't use the Mallard's water system at all, not even the toilet. During that trip we also discovered the AC didn't work (just the fan).
So we took it to Camping World in the Springs and...
I couldn't get a socket wrench or any other kind of wrench into that tiny space. Nothing in my tool box will fit. The copper tube running in front of the drain plug is too close, and wires connecting to the assembly the copper tube runs into restrict the work area. It might work if I can find a...
I'm definitely not using the pump while connected to city water, and it leaks either way anyway. I also noticed water dripping off of the black tank drain pipe where it exits the underbelly covering.
I didn't try the water heater on propane, but the furnace still blows hot (though not as hot...
