I would suggest to obtain several quotes for that same model/options from some of the "discount" RV dealers such as www.rvpricebusters.com, www.rvwholesalers.com and www.rvs4less.net . This will give you an idea of what some of the best prices would be. Armed with this...
On only my second trip last week, my water heater door also came flying open while going down the interstate. Luckily I saw it, stopped and closed it before it broke. Is it just me, or does that little folding spring clip seem like an insufficient way to keep that door closed while traveling...
Thanks everybody for the info!
Sorry to be dense, but does the Camping World item (recommended in above posts) stay permanently affixed to the sewer pipe? Otherwise, wouldn't I get the same result whenever I unscrewed the cap (at end of the pipe) to install this gadget?
We just got back from...
Hi Folks,
I'm on my second trip. When connecting upon arrival at the CG, I removed the cap at the end of the sewer pipe (valve was closed and sewer hose not yet connected). About a pint of disgusting "stuff" came pouring out on my hands :( Do most people have this issue? Is it just...
Question - in an '09 3055RL, can I simply remove a fuse to accomplish the same purpose as a battery cutoff switch? Alternately, do the battery cables have a wing nut that makes it simple to just remove the negative cable after each trip? I'll be picking up my 3055RL on Wednesday and prefer to...
If my memory serves me correctly, MSRPs for the models & options were on the order checksheet that my dealer gave to me when I ordered my 2009 3055RL in February. If you email or PM me with the model and options you want MSRPs for, I will reply with them. Note that the MSRPs don't seem to...
Congratulations on your 3055RL! I am picking up my 3055RL next Wednesday. It'll be my first ever RV, and so I'm excited and apprehensive at the same time.
I really wish Heartland would look into this vacuum breaker valve issue. It seems too many people on this forum have reported a problem...
John, Any idea where the water is entering the belly? Would it be prevented by caulking around any pipe cutouts, etc.? I'm picking up my 3055RL next week and would rather not have to deal with any type of water intrusion.
Thanks
Gary
After reading this thread, I became curious myself and emailed Coley Brady to ask. He forwarded my question to Scott Lytle (Heartland), and I just rec'v the following reply:
The windows have a gasket seal between the window frame and the side wall it just isn’t that visible from the outside...
Thanks so much for the info!
I'll probably get some euro-style recliners (since we'll be using the sofa bed and don't want to move big recliners back/forth every day). I found this place http://www.discountleatherchairs.com/ They seem to have some pretty nice Benchmaster-brand euro chairs...
Thanks everybody for the info!
I ended up opting to delete the recliners totally for $450 credit. Now I'm looking to buy comfortable recliners that are easy to move on my own. That's why I started another thread about the rear living area depth dimension. It seems like the questions never...
Hi: Can anybody tell me the depth dimension of the rear living area of the '09 Big Horn 3055RL (from rear wall to slideout fascia)? My 3055RL is on order. I decided to buy my own recliner chairs and want to make sure they will fit back there while the slideout is closed. There's no BH dealers...
One tip in case you find out that Blue Ox doesn't have a BedSaver or pin lock for your hitch. Call them up and ask for Doug Prokop. He offered to make a BedSaver for me for free, and to pay to/from shipping if I sent him my Curt Q5 20k hitch. They will use my hitch as a pattern so they can...
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but it appears to have settled down.
Since Jim brought up the "Letterboxing" issue, I have a related question about "Pan & Scan". While ordering some DVDs tonight to keep us entertained when without cable, I noticed one DVD is stated to come in "Pan & Scan"...
This may be a good question to post in ATF. It would be re-assuring to hear there is some seal along the side/bottom of the window channel to prevent blowing rain from entering. Then again, if that case, why the caulking on the top?
