    Towing Limit

Welcome, I'd say that you would need too look at travel trailer's, and not a 5th wheel, another thing is do not believe the manufactures sticker weight's. The internet is a great source of information, and one thing I've learned is that some salesmen don't like a educated customer.

A Super Duty, is NOT a Super Duty

Anyway you cut it, the GVWR of 10K is what the truck can't exceed. So if you're truck weighs in at 7500lbs then you have 2500lbs you can carry whether it's a 5th wheel or brick's. My truck a 01 F-250 diesel weighs in at 8K, so I have a mere 800lbs that I can load in the bed, that's what SUCKS!!!!!

    ***so aggravated at factory***

Update, I ordered some marker light's that would mount over the hole, well they are just a hair too small, so back too plan "A" but I did go get some Pro Flex RV sealant, so I will just seal it with some of that, and keep a close eye on the light.

Well, after several emails back and forth with a Heartland rep, I've got a possible solution. I found some marker lights that mount flush, and do not have any recess.

    ***so aggravated at factory***

Update on my issue, I pulled the passenger side marker light, and there is about a finger's thickness in between the metal piece and the cap, this allows proper seating of the light. Also, someone has forwarded this topic too Heartland, and a representative send me an email offering some...

    ***so aggravated at factory***

I think I have some of the tape from my last camper, I've been thinking of some other fixes so much as too find plugs and take out the top running light's. My brother is coming into town later today, and he is really handy at finding fix's for stuff, plus he's a Engineer/Physicist.

No that is the only picture I have, the metal piece is within a 1/16" of touching the fiberglass cap. The only way I see fixing is running a bead of caulk, and I will go and get the dicor stuff, but even that stuff cracks after a while. It's just something I will have too keep a close eye on.

This me VENTING at the worker or worker's that install the front cap, and lights on the Prowler line. My issue is that the driver side top running light does not fit properly because there is a piece of metal which I'm guessing is the front cross member for the roof, which causes the light and...

    Truck for 32 RLTS -

IMHO, go with a diesel and don't look back. Now, get at least a F-350, Chevy 3500 or a Dodge 3500 you never know what future plan's you might have for a upgraded camper. My truck being a older F-250 and my new Prowler 5th wheel I have a weight issue now, that I have another thread started on, so...

    Pin Weight

From my experience you "CAN NOT" go by what they say the weight's are until you hit the scale's.

A Super Duty, is NOT a Super Duty

Well I should have known not too open this can of worm's, now I wish I could take this thread away. Too called irresponsible and made too feel like a fool I won't take. I felt like this forum might be different since we all own Heartlands, but I can tell it isn't. Signing out!!!!

A Super Duty, is NOT a Super Duty

Not going too argue about the motor's, my 7.3L is fine with what I have for now. My venting is how screwed up the weight rating they put on these truck's, and call them "super duty". I will say that a deleted 6.7 or not has better performance, let's see if they have the durability of the 7.3 but...

A Super Duty, is NOT a Super Duty

When we were getting our's, I asked the sales guy about the pin weight, he then pulled out his phone, and then I gave him all my truck spec's and he told me I could tow a 13,500 trailer because the truck has a max 20K combo weight. They didn't seem concerned about the pin weight as much as the...
