    Well, I guess I'm not going to get an answer but that's alright, I just checked the website and the figures have changed again. Dry weight is now 3118 lbs and GVWR is 4395 lbs. That leaves me out in any case because that is definitely past the capabilities of the Ford Escort. Heinrich

    Rick, the Escape has both aux. tranny and engine oil cooler as part of the tow package. What I will do is install a temp. gauge on the tranny. Heinrich

    Hi Ray and thank you. On the Edge brochure the GVRW for the M18 is listed as 3900 lbs. On the web it's listed as 4300lbs. So I went down to the dealer and checked the label on the trailer and it is 3900 lbs. The 2009 Escapes engine is listed as having 240 hp @ 6550 rpm and 223 ft-lbs of torque...
