    Tires

I just put 6 BFG Commercial TA's(235/85/16) on my Cyclone. Time will tell, but for the price, it was a no brainer!

    Roof warranty?

Thanks for the input Dan and Brian. I spoke with a Heartland CS rep and also a tech today and both agreed that it was out of the one year warranty so it would not be covered, and that it should be easily repaired like you suggested Brian. The tech did say, he was more concerned about the...

    Tow Max Tires

For those of you who have triple axles and have replaced your tires, what size did you go with? I am concerned about a)going with a slightly smaller tire with less max load capacity, or b) going slightly larger and having clearance issues. The 235/80-16's that came on it rub the skirt supports...

    Roof warranty?

I have a 2009 Cyclone that I purchased new from an out of town dealer. I have had several small issues come up and have fixed them myself. However, this morning when I climbed up on the roof to wash it down before taking it back over to covered storage, I noticed the roof material had pulled...

    Surge Guard Installation

Well, I finished the install this past weekend, and unfortunately did not have my camera handy. But, I mounted this behind the porthole access door below my vacuum system. Yes, it is not easily visible, but if there is a problem, I can simply open the access panel and see the lights etc. on...

    Surge Guard Installation

Does anyone have any photos or tips on the installation of a hardwired surge guard in a Cyclone(I have a 3850)? I just purchased one and was debating on the best place to locate it with ease of visibility if needed. Thanks, Josh

Campground or RV Park near Rockport, TX

No problems with the entrance. I went slow and didn't have a choice but to enter and exit at an angle and did not drag. There are plenty of skid marks in the asphalt so some rigs will drag, but I didn't have a problem. I don't have any cabinets in the garage, so I mounted it in the kitchen...

Campground or RV Park near Rockport, TX

Well we took a chance and paid a little extra so the kids could utilize the heated indoor pool at Lagoons. When we arrived at 11:15 at night on Thursday we found a map of the resort with our name on it taped to the door and directions for getting to the site. Cool I thought, and off we went...

    Optional Queen Bunks in Garage

I have taken the supplied ladder out and hung it in my garage at the house and I also took Jellystone's recommendation and purchased a folding 3 step ladder to use. My wife is not even 5' so it is required for her to reach even the bottom shelves in the kitchen cabinets :D .

What is everyone pulling their 3850 with??

2008 F450 4X2...bone stock and it pulls it really well. Truck sits nearly level even with no toys in the garage. I do want to add a Spartan tune for a few more horses/ft-lbs/mpg's but it is not really necessary...I just want it :D

Campground or RV Park near Rockport, TX

Can anyone recommend a place to stay while in Rockport, TX. I have a class there on the 23rd of this month and want to take the new rig down for its maiden voyage. I have two small kids(3 and 4.5) so a place that has some space to play would be a nice bonus! Thanks, Josh

    Our new toy!

Thanks for the heads up PUG. I'll have to check that when we use it next. Thanks to all others for the compliments! As far as my driveway is concerned, it is 50' long...pretty unusual around here for a track home in a neighborhood. Both of my brother's driveways are only 30'! I do have half...

    2011 upgrades

Additional outlet in the kitchen My 3850 only came with two outlets in the kitchen, both on the dinette side of the island. So, I would recommend an outlet up under the cabinet near the sink. Right now, the only place for me to plug in my coffee maker is also a great place to drag the whole...

    Our new toy!

Last Wednesday, we welcomed home our newest addition...a 2009 Cyclone 3850. The dealers leave a lot to be desired as far as prep and cleanliness, so I spent several hours after getting her home just cleaning her up. We are really looking forward to getting to spend a weekend in the rig to...

    Little Red Switch

The cover is a great idea...and I did tell her no, and she listens and really is well behaved. However, I can see it being an issue when neither my wife or I are standing right there. I just don't understand Heartland's thinking in placing the switch in this location. Why not place it where...
