Anyone interested in starting this chapter? Leading this chapter?

My DW and I might be interested in joining a GA chapter, but we need more information. How much is membership in the Heartland Owner's Club, for example. How do we join? Are there any other requirements? Please send me an email at jimcase717@gmail.com with any information. Thanks.

    Considering North Trail 22FDS

Well, if you're interested in a North Trail Ultra-lite Travel Trailer, my wife and I purchased our 32 RED TT in May (09). Since then, we've put over 10,000 miles on it and it leaves no doubt that this is one of the best built RV's on the road. We've been over the Continental Divide four times...

    Warning

Travel I-40 Eastbound at your own risk. This road in Oklahoma is one of the worst I've been on in two months on the road. Use it only as a last resort (and sometimes, you don't have a choice).

Message to all who might be considering a Big Horn

Well, we don't own a fiver. We purchased a NorthTrail 32 RED TT Ultra-lite in May. So far, we've travelled over 8.000 miles and the ONLY problem we've had is the black tank sensors don't react very well. That's it. And, we've been over the Continental Divide with it (four times), up to 8000+...

PAC brake on diesel versus brake controller

None Hey everyone, We're back with another question. We just traded up on our tow vehicle - went from a 2008 1500 Dodge Big Horn Ram (4.7L V-8) to a 2009 2500 Dodge Ram (Heavy Duty) Quad Cab with a 6.7L Cummins Diesel pulling the load. We hauling a 2010 North Trail (32RED) - loaded weight is...

    Nitrogen versus Air

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the replys. We just purchased an air compressor at Home Depot. Not a big thing - sits in the back of my truckbed. The wife is anal about air pressure, and maybe thats a good thing. Anyway, I think I'll just stick with O2 since I have the compressor...

    Nitrogen versus Air

Hey everyone. This is a bit unusual, but a neighbor of mine offered to fill the tires on my North Trail 31RED with nitrogen instead of air. He said that he's had nitrogen in the tires of his travel trailer for the past year and hasn't lost any air pressure at all - over a year...

    New Heartland Owners

Right on the moneh Guys Thanks for the information. I thought 8500 would be way overweight. In any event, we won't be loading with with nearly that much weight. The TT weighs 5434 (dry) with a GVWR of 6900 lbs. So, without overloading the trailer, I should be well within the Dodge's limits...

    New Heartland Owners

My bad... oops!!! Sorry all but I'm apparently brain dead. I have the 4.7L V-8 with a 3.92 axle rating. I guess that makes a bit if a difference, but probably not a lot. I checked with my dealer yesterday and was told I could tow up to 8500 lbs. I seriously doubt I would tow that...

    New Heartland Owners

Hello everyoneNone My wife and I just purchased a 2010 North Trail TT (Ultra Lite) 31RED and we will be towing it with a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn, 3.9L V-8, 4x2, crew cab with the 1:3.62 rear end. We took it out for it's maiden voyage a couple of weeks ago and we love it. We stopped at...
