    Air Compressor Recommendations

This has served me well for several years. I run my RV tires at 105 PSI. --------------------- http://www.amazon.com/Industries-MV50-SuperFlow-12-Volt-Compressor/dp/B000BM8RT8/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1434246775&sr=8-20&keywords=dc+air+compressor

My stupid trick for the year.

FYI - I am in the Houston area and have used Russell RV in Conroe several times. They only do repair work and no RV sales. They are excellent and are an authorized USAA repair station. Had a new roof put on once and $11,000 damage due to Chinese bomb tires repaired. Timely and courteous. Mike is...

    Transfer Switch

Porthole, I like the way you are thinking. I'm going to do it the way you suggested and since the transfer switch wiring already goes into the front storage bay I only need a short amount of wire. I use a reliance control six circuit manual transfer switch for my home so I already have a cable...

    Transfer Switch

I understanding your way of thinking but for a short overnight stay in the boondocks it's a real pain to drag the monster 50 amp cable out of storage and drag it to the back and then crouch again between the unhitched truck and rv to stow it again. I'm an old man and wife won't do it. Just...

    Transfer Switch

Randy, by breaker box side I assume you me "line" side - just make sure I use the "generator" side L1 and L2. Steve S

    Transfer Switch

Re: Transffer Switch Thanks Dave, In my previous post I said L1 & L2 connected to the hot on the 3 wire pigtail which would be the same as a jumper. Thanks, I'll give it a smoke test later. One last question. If my transfer switch is behind the panel in the garage near the converter then am I...

    Transfer Switch

Re: Transffer Switch Thanks all for the help. I will check this morning for the location. Next question - My Bighorn is equipped with 50 amp service so I will assume my transfer switch is a 50 amp transfer switch. I would like to use my two Honda EU200i generators in parallel located in my...

    Transfer Switch

Hopefully someone can help me. I have a 2008 Bighorn 3055RL. It has the generator prep option installed. My question is, do I have a transfer switch and if so where would it be located? Thanks in advance. Steve S.

    truck comparisons

ricatic, That is good news. My diesel guy doesn't do the remove the cab thingie but the ford dealers here in my houston area do. He just made a lot of money because of the early problems with the 6 and 6.4 engines. I have been watching the new ford diesel. It looks promising. I am going to let...

    truck comparisons

Just curious, I find all three manufacturers have their good and bat points. My tow vehicle is a 2000 Ford F-230, 7.3 liter diesel, crew cab, long bed, four wheel drive and is paid for. Works great and should last a long time. Sixty thousand dollars for a new one is way over my budget and...

How to raise (jack-up) my Bighorn

I totally agree. I Use a bottle jack the same way without the angle iron. I don't weld very well. I just use a short 2 x 4 between the top of the jack and the bottom of the spring u-bolts. Here's the way I figure it: The spring is resting on the spacer which is resting on the top of the axle...

    what air compressor?

It is, it is a steel radial and looks and feels like a small tractor/trailer tire. Extremely strong sidewalls! Good price. Narrower tire seems to ride cooler too!
