Macerator works well, but if you are pumping any distance you want to use a 3/4" hose. The pumps do not push the stuff up hill or long distances well with 1/2" or 5/8" diameter hoses. I burned out one with a 5/8" hose going 50' up four feet. The 3/4" diameter hose had no problem.
There maybe a metal plate in that wall. Heartland used to put a sticker with a dryer vent drill pattern on the walls. Word spread not to use them because they sometimes were directly over or slightly over the stud! Mine was high up the wall as well.
Use a metal stud detector. That is how I found the metal studs. Depending on the time of year, you can also find the studs by looking at the RV in the morning and see the stud pattern by the moisture on the outside skin. I also have a camera with a thermal image setting that showed the studs...
Keep that cheep pressure regulator just incase. We have been in tow parks that required it with the good one as well. First park was very close to Appomattox Cort house with 200psi and another that had 180 psi. Cheep one first and the good one after that. We did not have any flow issues with...
If you do it yourself, purchase the standard Valterra black and gray valves with the pull handles. Remove the pull handles by unscrewing them. Remove the cable connection on the OEM valves and install onto the new valves. It will save you a lot of money. Did this on my Big Horn. Prior to...
Back when I first purchased my 2013 Big Horn, The first rally we went to had a brand new Landmark pull in with the back ripped up from a blowout. He traveled less then 200 miles with it. Back then Towmax tires were used. They became known as Blowmax by RV owners. I change my new OEM Towmax...
Plumbing leaks are a pain, but I always fix them myself. Drain leaks are fixed using plumbers putty around the top compression seal and the threads. The joint will not leak or vibrate loose while traveling down the road. A neighbor master plumber told me and he was not wrong. Faucet leaks are...
When I did this in my fifth wheel, I used metal jacked hoses. They are flexible. I also set it up so I could regenerate it in place. I mounted it in a plastic tub.

I have designed equipment and specified breakers. Breakers have a zone of operations based on ambient temperature, current flow, and a +/- percentage of designed trip point. The time it...
Bent axles are easy to spot. Don't ask me why I know! If the axel(s) are flat or bowed down in the center, they are bent. If the axle(s) are bowed up, they are as designed as supplied. Had to have my axles fix twice after going across the country twice on or Big Horn.
I measured my fifth wheel, 2013 Big Horn, and the listed length was the inside length. I did this because the external measurement was longer than the stated length. Back end to pin, or back end to end of cap, was not it.
