I don't actually own my own camper/RV but my father has a conventional tow camper that we use frequently. I just purchased my first tow vehicle (Aug 2012) a 2006 Ford F350 DRW Turbo Deisel with seating for 6 which is exactly how many I need. I joined this forum (which I don't normally do) because I watched the Heartland video on the making of their campers/RV's and like what I saw plus I need some more information before I run right out and spend $100000.00 on something I have no idea what I'd be getting into. I hate to buy a 40+ foot camper and find out I can't go to certain camp sites because I'm just too big. or take off for a cross country tour and find out I'm putting undue stress on either my camper or tow vehicle. I just want to be informed and make the right decision when I buy a camper for my family and my parents to use in their retirement. (Yes I do know how to share). So for now I guess you could say I'm looking for "More Input" (If you know the movie quote you're my kind of camper/RV'er or what ever you call it). Hope to be one of you soon.
