Thinking of Buying a 5th Wheel Heartland Cyclone 3800

Yes it is true there are a lot of pros vs cons of an HDT. It's all boils down to what the op needs or wants in a pulling vehicle. We do mostly long trips and it would be nice to have that sleeper to nap in while second person drives, plus almost unlimited power when you get into the hills and...

Thinking of Buying a 5th Wheel Heartland Cyclone 3800

If I was in your shoes, I would do some serious thinking about getting an HDT, and not even consider a pickup. We have a 3912 Cyclone which looks pretty similar in layout and size to the 3800 and pull it with a 3500 drw chevy. But if I got to start from scratch it would be in an HDT. Especially...

    garage space for machines

I put 3 in our 3912, 12 ft garage. Grizzly 700 and Grizz550 next to each other. Back in the 700 first then drive in the 550 then either Raptor 700 or Wolverine cross ways behind them. If you have the original size RZR shouldnt be a problem. Over size tires might be an issue. Good luck!

    Ramp Failure!

There was some sign of water penetration, but I believe the main flaw is the hinges will only open to about 30 to 40 degrees (estimate) before the springs stop their movement, but theres nothing stopping that big heavy door and something has to give. Some type of stop on the cable would seem...

    Ramp Failure!

Same thing happened to my 3912, take a look at attached pics and its understandable. Theres not much for structure. 1/4 plywood and styrofoam. I think the main cause is when the door is lowered beyond a certain point, ie: uneven ground and the thin plywood inner layer and fiberglass outer skin...

rating of "d" rings in the floor

A wood chisel will pop the scrap out easily after cutting the outside with a hole saw, or if for some reason you need the bottom more precise, use a router with a flat bottom cutter.
