Great choice ... you will be much happier with a 3/4 or 1 ton. If you plan on keeping the truck for quite some time think long and hard about getting a diesel. Not only do they last longer if properly taken care of, the resale is much better as well.
Since we don't have our own Montana Chapter forum I'm posting this here. If a moderator wishes to create us our own forum and move this thread please feel free.

It's very difficult to troubleshoot issues like this without having the PC in front of me. If other pages seem to load ok send me a PM and I can troubleshoot it remotely if needed.
I am a big fan of the "black gun". I have a RR with removable flat top. I use it to hunt coyotes and gophers. I am waiting on my form 1 to come back from BATF to build a suppressed SBR in 9mm on a Rock River lower.
T and I are here again just outside Big Timber MT. Bob and Patty are here with their Big Horn, they are great people. It's nice to finally meet some other Heartland owners from the forum.
We just returned from the park a few hours ago. Norris Junction to Madison Junction is experiencing 30 minute delays with traffic being choked down to 1 lane. There was HEAVY traffic in the park this trip as it is the heart of tourist season. We prefer to go to the park in September as the...
We are at Spring Creek just outside Big Timber, MT. There is a Big Country at the other end of the CG but every time I have walked by there is nobody home.
Jim,
I'll jump in here as I think I can see where you are going with your questions ... If I am off base let me know a little more about the specifics and I will do my best.

We are currently out on our maiden voyage with our new 29RKSA. So far nothing unexpected, the tow was effortless although I may need to increase the rear tire pressure in my TV as there was just a hint of bouce. This is most likely due to the road we travelled.
Keep enjoying your Elk Ridge...
Richard,
Sorry to hear you will not be able to make the trip. Hope you get to feeling better soon. If you reschedule your trip this way keep me posted.

Bob,
Glad to hear you may be bringing your rig. Spring Creek is NOT the Big Timber KOA and if I can put my .02 in stay away from the KOA. I sent you a PM with my contact information, if you want to give me a call I can elaborate a little more on the Big Timber KOA. Here is the link to Spring...
I should have remembered you were'nt bringing your Bighorn ... you said that earlier. The Greycliff area is nice. I used to work bees all over Sweet Grass County, we had a lot of hives up that boulder valley. We'll for sure get together for at least a meal.
