    Power issues

Well, it wasn't the transfer switch. I recently had surgery on my thumb so my wife plugged the cord into the side of the camper this time. Before checking the in and out voltage on the switch I decided to check to power cord itself to make sure it wasn't the cord (wire coming loose on either...

    Power issues

Since the voltage returns to normal when using the generator, could it be the transfer switch? The problem has got to be between the pedestal and the transfer switch.

    Power issues

Not sure what you mean by this. We checked the plug that we plug into and it showed ~120v each side. About 3 months ago he camper went in for the landing gear issues as well as water heater. The shop said the replaced a neutral switch? I assumed they were talking about the transfer switch.

    Power issues

Well, figured it out. Apparently we are generating 156v on one side, and 90v on the other. The appliances that I am having issues with (refrigerator and water heater) are not getting enough voltage. This is while plugged into shore power. When I start the generator, the voltage on both sides...

Checked outside switch and it is on. Thanks for the trouble shooting guides, I will dig into the tomorrow.

    Power issues

Now living in my camper while moving to DC for the military. Prior to this we had issues with the front landing gear legs barely moving and the hot water heater not heating the water. Dealer said it was the "neutral switch" on the converter or inverter (don't remember which, but had something...

Length and Height of Cyclone 3795

I currently own a Cyclone 3795 and it is in the shop getting some roof repair done due to a tornadoe we had this year. I was hoping someone would know the overall length and heigth of the 3795 so that I could order a cover for it. It is a 2008 if that matters at all. I looked at the heartland...

Replaced Rear Differential Cover and Fluid

Here is a comparative study that AMSOIL had completed on Gear Lubes for everyone's reading enjoyment. Study is attached. I really like that diff cover by the way and will be doing mine in the future!!

    Just bought a new truck

The DEF tanks are supposed to hold something like 5 gallons and only cost about $3 a gallon. They are said to last about 5,000 miles and in the future they are also saying that there will be a urea filling station next to the diesel pumps. For now you have to buy it in the bottle.

    Just bought a new truck

I am anxious to see both the new Ford and new Chevy in 2011. I hope ford doesn't have to many issues with the new engine and transmission like they did when the first released the 6.0 and 6.4 I think it was. I do like the options that come with the ford though, but hate the new dually fender...

    Best Differential Fluid

I just recently changed my rear diff fluid for the first time and was glad I did. After seeing the break in shavings, I will check mine more often. I hopefully will be changing over to the MAG cover very soon. One area that I haven't heard mentioned yet is the transfer case. I know on my...

    use of amsoil

I am an AMSOIL dealer and would be more than happy to help anyone with their questions about the product. AMSOIL does guarantee their diesel synthetic oil will provide protection to 3x OEM recommended drain intervals and the EO line of AMSOIL filters are guaranteed to 25,000 miles. However, if...

    Generator Cuts out

I do a lot of dry camping and have just over 400 hours on my generator. Lately the generator will run great for about 12 hours and then will shut off. I can go over and turn it back on with no problem and it will shut off again in another 12 hours. Has anybody experienced this before or know...

    DuraMax fuel filter

AMSOIL sells Donaldson and WIX Fuel filters that work great in our trucks and I change mine every other oil change. I agree, keep an extra in your toolbox just in case you get some bad fuel.

    Diesel Kleen

I prefer AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate and then in the Winter I use the Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver. Both have done a great job in making my engine run smoother and seemed to gain a little MPG out of it as well.
