I have the exact switching valve and auto-switching doesn't work for me.. if I have it pointed to the tank I want it to draw from, when that tank runs out, it doesn't switch to the alternate, although it did show red in the viewer.. probably defective, but proved to be a pain this past summer...

i got my 3010RE back from warranty work for the same problem. tech found wiring under the bed slide with the wiring marrets missing and they shorted (where's the QC???) My fuse was always blowing though... but same circuit as you mention.
