Traveling with a dog - MPG specific

We have a Beagle (25lbs) and she rides in a cage in the bed of our truck (Nissan Frontier-crew cab/5 ft bed) which is probably similar to the amount of storage are you have. The bed has a canopy so she is out of the weather. We have the same MPG only our kids use the bunks. The dog sleeps in...

    MPG Gas Mileage

Looks like 10-12 mpg is the going rate regardless of what you tow with. That's what I get with our 2011 Nissan Frontier (4.0l/V6) also.

New to us 183-Furnace didn't want to start up... not sure why??

There may have been too much air in the line that prevented it from firing the first time around. I think it is set up to try and lite then take a few minute break before it will try again. Use the stove to purge the line of the oxygen so that it's all propane before you try and lite it off...

    New MPG 183

Thank you for the welcomes and well wishes. We've have camped 3 different weekends so far and it has been great. No issues at all with the trailer. The Equalizer hitch has performed great and was well worth the money imo.

    2nd time around

I have always lubed the hitch ball on trailers, the Equalizer hitch does say you can lube the joint where the bars attach to the hitch but not where they fit into the "L" brackets. The idea is to cut down on the noise I guess but our hitch is pretty quiet and I haven't lubed the bar joint at...

    Quality Control on MPG's

I had that issue with mine in a couple places. I just pulled it off, applied a bit of wood glue and used a staple gun to re-install. It ain't coming off now. Other then that I haven't had any issues at all with our 183.

Hi, new to MPG and this forum

If the salesman is so confident I'm sure they'd let you hook it up and try it out. I'm gonna bet that it's too much trailer for your Sante Fe.

    Carrier for generator

Maybe use the rear bumper hitch on the trailer? You could probably find a hitch mount winch bracket at a 4 wheel drive place that would hold it. You'd have to get an adapter to go from 1 1/4" up to 2" but it would probably work...

Might buy a 183 - looking for user info

We just got our 183 last month. It doesn't have the large door to the bunk area, just the small hatch to the storage below. We wanted bunks for the kids and y wife and I use the forward dinette area for our bed. Just took it out for it's maiden voyage and it was great. As for bikes they will...

    New MPG 183

I introduced myself in the General area before I knew there was a MPG specific area. Anyway, we picked up a 2011 MPG 183 last month. It's our first TT as we have always been tent campers. But with age comes the desire to get off the ground. I'll still sneak out to go tent camping though! I...
