don't know if this will help or not, but here was our step-by-step instructions on building one for our MPG. you may need the pvc fence post to be longer on your rig. http://thekermitlesstraveled.wordpress.com/2011/04/30/stinky-slinky-gets-a-makeover/

Front of 183 bowing after long haul

We noticed that the front panel (hitch end), the wide area of fiberglass is bowing. Turns out it DOES need to be reinforced (at least our does), and the dealer is tearing it apart and taking care if it in the off season. Keep an eye out- your problem may be the same- needs reinforcing b/c of the...

    Outside Shower

I agree! Would be great for washing off after trip out to the beach or lake and get the "ickys" off before the real shower. Heck, if it's nice enough, I'd do that instead of a shower in the bathroom (suit on of course!) :)

Front of 183 bowing after long haul

I believe I mentioned this in another thread response, but we experienced a bowing effect on the hitch (front) end of the trailer after a 1,500 miles trip a few weeks ago. After meeting Jim B. from Heartland at a campground in Indiana (small world!), we contacted Heartland. They sent me back to...

    Hello MPG owners

We pull ours with a 2008 Hyundai Sante Fe. On our trip from IL to NC and back, we avg'd 2500rpm, and we got about 11mpg. It did pretty well. We do have the sway bar installed at the dealer's recommendation, and it worked WONDERS in the mtns of TN/NC. Highly suggest using it if doing long hauls!

    Switch on shower/sink

When you say use a binder clip, do you pull up the plug and put it between the head of the plug and the faucet? I'm willing to rig anything!

    Rally location ideas - 2012

Re: Input Requested for 2012 Rally Location I'm not a member yet (we just bought our MPG a month ago), but ran into JimB and his wife over the weekend at Jellystone in IN... and told us about the forums. Here's my 2¢, although being a newbie, I may stick my foot in my mouth. I have to agree...

    Switch on shower/sink

We've had our MPG just over a month, and recently took it on a week-long trip from IL to NC and back. We are new trailer owners, and I'm hoping this is a simple handy-man fix we can do ourselves.... Anyone had problems with turning on the bathroom sink and pulling up the stopper switch to...

    Listed in Standard Options.....

In regards to a comment about a leak near rear window- we have had our MPG just over a month, and after traveling from IL to NC and back, have noticed that the back window (window over the hitch end), now has a bow effect, and developed a crack. Wondered if MPG185-GA had this same problem? If...

    Towing a 183 with minivan

If it's any help, we bought an MPG just over a month ago, and we tow ours with a sway bar, hauled by a Hyundai Santa Fe (similar to a Murano). We just returned from the Smokey Mtns, and had NO problems. Words of advice- travel with the potable water tank 1/3 full, and add some additional weight...
