I have a NT and last had it out Columbus Day weekend in Maine. The evenings reached a low of 32 and the heater didn't have a problem at all. I've seen some people do winter camping with their NT so it won't be a problem in the southwest. Good luck.

Re: 31Red From what I read the 31red dry is 5400lbs. My 32buds is 7000 and I'm pulling it with a 5.3l Silverado. I don't see you having a problem pulling it as long as you have the right hauling package and axle ratio.
