We have the same awning on our North Trail and the auto dump works but quite violently at times. I ended up pulling the heavy arm that slides against the side of the trailer down a few inches and secured it with a bunji cord to the bottom of the wall track so...
The chains on my NT were also too short. The dealer installed a pair of large oval screw connector links on the loops of my hitch to connect the tow chain hooks to. Works great.
Make sure you use at least a 1/2" link for strength. I tried to insert a picture but could not get it to work.

I have the exact same trailer but pull mine with a 3/4 ton. Your F150 will handle it without any problem. It is not that heavy a trailer. Because of the length just make sure you have someone to help you back it up and swing wider on corners. Enjoy.

Just an update on the bedroom wall/light leak on my 2011 NT 30RKDD. The front clearance lights at the top of the front cap were fine and appeared to be caulked properly but there was about 18" of seam on top that was not caulked properly on the front side of the seam where the front cap joins...
Yes the bed is in the nose and the leak is not close to a slide. It rained hard today and no leak. We will head home tomorrow and I will check out the roof and lights.
