    For the trailer your considering the 1/2 ton would be fine.

    What kind of transmission temps do people see while towing? I'm sure there is some difference between makes, but would like to know overall. I have a 7.3 ford. What would be considered normal or running hot. Thanks.

    I always have it in the tow/haul mode when towing and the rpm's between 2000-3000.
