Tom, would it be possible to get the paint codes for the Newport colors? I could take the time and paint the slide sides myself. I think it would be worth the effort and really look good, to boot.
If I can get everything I want, sans an IS, for the price point I'm looking for, what's another $5600? From what I've read, it's well worth the money. And that's if it's not an option. I would expect the price would not be that much, as I wouldn't be throwing away two 8,000 lb. axles...
To say that I'm impressed with what I've seen so far from Landmark would be an understatement. This is the first coach that I've felt really good about when I walked inside. I know that's shallow, but what the heck. I hope you're able to get that MOR/ryde IS as an option sometime in the next...
Thanks! I must be sleepwalking again! I'd still like to know about the roof. I want to make sure I can mount solar panels with screws without having to find the aluminum roof rafters.
Tom,
I've been looking through the Landmark 365 brochure that I picked up at the Dallas show last week, and noticed that there's nothing in it that gives the insulation values of the coach and slides, nor the construction of the walls, roof and floor. Did I miss something? I went to the...
Thanks for that detailed reply. Now I can see a way to get the cabling from the roof down to the battery compartment. My vent is on the street side of the coach, but I'm sure the same technique will work there, too. By the time I install my solar, make my water manifold, and have MORryde install...
Very nice write up on your installation. I'm planning on buying a new Landmark Newport and want to do a large amount of boondocking, so solar is a must. I, too, have followed the sites of Jack Meyer and Handy Bob. There's also lots of information on Technomadia's website. My question to you...
Tom,
What's the main reason most manufacturers don't use a fiberglass roof? I know that by far the favorite is EPDM, followed by Alpha-Ply. Weight? Cost? It would appear to me that a solid, one-piece unit would solve a myriad of water intrusion issues. On another note, I love the...
Thanks for that information. I figured there must be a vent on the roof somewhere, but I didn't climb up on the roof at the show yesterday to see for sure.
