    A stinking black tank! Puke!

While I haven't posted for quite a while, I'll tell you my method of keeping the black tank clean. We usually go for 10 day trips at a time. After dumping tanks before heading home I add 10 gallons of water into black tank along with 1-1/2 cups Calgon water softener and 1/4 Dawn Dishwahing...

    QC Discussion - General Dis-satisfaction

It has not been any one post that has swayed our decision. I just feel that the growing pains that Heartland is experiencing is keeping there focus on increasing production rather than resolving issues with there product. i.e. The Fireplace sitting on Carpet still happening. Problems with the...

    QC Discussion - General Dis-satisfaction

After lurking around here for 10 months and private contact with numerous members all that I can say, is that were going to get a Hitch Hiker II LS. I can't bring myself to spend close to 50k and buy all of the Problems that the Bighorn's have and what appears to me as a lack of proper dealer...

    Powerstroke Diesel Site!

Not sure how it works nowadays, I do know I real gald mine came with it, cause last week we were having -40 with wind chill for day time highs. Trap Even if it's not much below Freezing I usually plug it in for 45 minutes to a hour in the mornig. Just so much easier on the motor.

    Powerstroke Diesel Site!

Tom if I'm not mistaken your truck has the Block Heater but maybe not the chord. On the Newer Fords They have a special chord that plugs into the block (not sure where). Also it's the dealers that don't order the Block Heaters not FMC. Trap

    Half ton towing???

Rick NB i was just going by the info on Heartlands website and the GVWR of the smallest 5'er is over 11k and that's to much weight for a 1/2 ton. Trap

    Half ton towing???

I wouldn't even think of trying any of the Sundance with a 1/2 ton pickup. If you take there lightest GVWR is 11,175 lbs at 18% That gives you 2,010 lb. Pin Weight. I don't think there's very any 1/2 tons rated to carry that. Trap

    Aluminum Rims

Tires and Rims All these problems with tires and rims is becoming a big concern. It seems like after you buy the coach you have to plan on going out and spending another 3k on new tires and rims. Trap

    User Banned and Why

While I don't disagree with what you've done, I have to sympathise a bit with wildwind. There is nothing more frustrating than having spent your hard earned money on something and have a lot of problems with it. Did Wildwind handle it correctly maybe not. But his rants did show the frustration...

    Extremely Concerned

Billd I'm sitting here on the fence about buying a bighorn fortunately for me were not buying until spring of 07. But after hanging around since Febuary, it seems that a lot of people are having problems with dealers servicing Heartland products in a timely manner. There are way to many posts on...
