sorry but I am new to this: ...80PSI????

Yea, I just found this on Tireman9's blog, which answers the questions I asked him below, except for the rim tolerance: "So the best recommendation I can give to trailer owners is to run the inflation molded on the tire sidewall. For owners of a TV or motorhomes, I recommend you run the...

sorry but I am new to this: ...80PSI????

So Tireman9, even though the GVW weight of my coach is well below what 4 of my G614's can handle (maximum load each of 3750 @ 110psi ), from what you are saying, I should just keep them set at 110 psi and not worry about the load charts? And if my rims are stamped "110psi", should they have...

Frome Tireman9's blog: "With my background as a tire design engineer for a major tire manufacturer for 32 years and after working in the "Quality Assurance" department for 8 more years" Impressive Tireman9

    G rated tires

Thanks for all of the information. This all makes perfect sense. It's just that some of the other info out there is a bit more confusing. Take my Heartford Owner's Manual for instance...it says to run the tires at "maximum cold inflation", period. I am sure it says that with the intent of...

    Heat expansion of G614 tires

I have a 2014 Bighorn 3160EL with GY G614's on it. What do you guys with G614's run for PSI? Do you just set them at 110 regardless of load? And as for this talk of 70 degrees as the "cold temp", I have read Good Years Load Charts and they do not mention 70 degrees anywhere. It says cold...

    Wow! That wasn't pretty!

    Tires

I have never heard of them. My last 5th wheel had Good Year Marathons. As soon as I bought my new 3160EL and discovered info on the Tow Max tires, I found a dealer who sold me four G614's mounted and balanced with steel valve stems, for $1,042, which included taxes and fees. I am happy with that!

    Tires

The sidewalls are not stamped with "Directional" an Arrow or "This side in" or "This side out". It looks like they can be mounted in any direction... But, I am going to make sure the ends of the cross grooves point backwards, just for the heck of it.

    Tires

I found a great article on this subject. It looks as if there isn't any way the tire is directional, at least according to this article. But according the the water flow diagram, I'll still make sure the ends of the cross grooves point backwards...

    Tires

I didn't think so either, but I do see that the tread patterns will face opposite directions if you just randomly install them. That is a bit odd, especially after the installation tech made the comments to me. He was careful to explain to me that he loaded them in the bed of my truck...

    Tires

Okay, I just got my new G614's home after having them mounted to the rims. Does anyone know which direction the tread pattern need to be placed on the coach? Do the ends of the cross grooves face forward or do they face backwards? The only reason I ask is the installler told me he had laid...

sorry but I am new to this: ...80PSI????

I know some on here like to run their tires lower than the maximum cold pressure stated on their sidewalls, depending on load/cargo weights, but I ALWAYS run mine at their maximum cold pressure. I don't have issues with tire failure and don't notice more wear on the center of the tire than...

    Generator and Level Up Costs

My dealer just ordered me a 5.5k Onan LP gen and the install kit from Heartland for my 2014 3160EL. The cost for the gen, install kit and labor is $5,200. Of course he discounted me 20% for buying the coach from him. My 3160 was not preped for a gen, so my dealer has to order everything...
