Has anyone replaced their Furrion on convection microwave. Any tips or tricks or suggestions on remo and replacement. What did you replace it with?

We actually just replaced our Furrion that died last week with this LG model #LMV1764ST. it's not convection but so far it's been great. Personally we think it heats things up faster than the Furrion did. Had to drill the new top mounting holes in the cabinet but the back mounting plate from the Furrion was a match to the LG.

Not that we have to replace the Furrion micro yet, wife says it doesn't heat up as well as the old Kenmore in stick house does.

Thanks guys.
Turns out we will be replacing with in kind. Yeah it's not the most powerful etc, but the wife really likes it especially the convection part. (She stores stuff in the gas oven 😉). Turns out we'll be at the Nation rally tomorrow and Lippert will replace the unit for us. Easy peasy.
Really nice part is Lippert gave me a nice military discount. 😀😀 I also just found out that many places and business will give some sort of a military discount, but you have to ask. I even just got one retroactively. It's a biggie 😁.

For anyone who chooses to replace the old microwave with a countertop type, you need to provide adequate ventilation within the RV microwave enclosure for magnetron and High voltage Transformer cooling. The microwave supplier to Heartland on my older rig added on an external squirrel cage type blower wired to the small blower inside the microwave. I copied this setup in modifying the replacement Sharp microwave I first used ( I have been through a couple of microwaves now) in the enclosure.

Replaced our 7 yr. old Furrion Micro with same model. Old model number was FMCM15-SS, new model is FMCM15A-SS. So far very happy. Ordered from eTrailer and arrived in excellent shape even though box was a shambles. The hand holds on the box give way and rip apart down to the Styrofoam but not a scratch on the new microwave all wrapped in plastic. The new microwave is beautiful, has a sturdier door, larger handle, no flexing, solid feel when closing. Updated checkered pattern SS interior, bright LED counter lights, more sophisticated menu and operation is more intelligent. Requires study of owners manual - definitely. Our old Furrion micro was installed in our Big Country at the factory with a damaged lower left rear corner we couldn't see until we removed. One day, old micro just blew the 20Amp internal fuse when opening door. I tried all suggestions, replaced switches, switch mounting bar, fuses, put tape on handle ears, tried every thing. Suspect something else more complicated at play. Bit the bullet, called eTrailer, glad I did. They had 15 in stock. Interesting, I ordered from Missouri but micro shipped from Utah as we are located in Colorado. No extended warranty available from eTrailer just 1 year, no Vets discount just FAST FREE UPS shipping. New micro came with wall mount plate, which we didn't need, just used old mounting plate already in place. Removal/installation is a two person job for a 65 pound unit. Went smooth. Easy to understand the process when you remove the old one. You need to remove the decorative 4" air vent trim piece above micro, loosen 3 -3" screws on top of micro then unit drops down at an angle. Lift back of micro off wall mount bracket. Install is reverse and easy for 2 people but the 3" screws are a bit fiddly that attach from the top through cabinet into the micro. A good upgrade!
