The original backspalsh was just a piece of wallpaper which was already bubbling up and coming loose. It looked like this. I removed the paper and installed a self adhesive vinyl type tile. It is by the same company as the mod I did on my stove backsplash(documented in another thread). I also...
Our 3010 came off the line at the very very end of May. It is not an option, just a very neat change by Heartland. It is a two piece unit. Thanks for the compliment.
The old backsplash didn't come off real easy. I used a putty knife as I was prying it away from the wall with a small crowbar. Be sure to put a small board under the putty knife to keep it from going through the wall. For preparing the wall, I had to get rid of lots of what looked like silicone...
In order to brighten up the kitchen a bit, I removed the brown drab looking backsplash behind the stove and installed these self adhesive vinyl type of tiles. They are available at some Home Depots, but are a bit pricey at about $10 per square foot. Purchase them by the box of 12 and the cost...
We tented for over 30 years and then went to a fifth wheel. Now we are on our fifth fiver. Thinking back when we were purchasing our first one, I remember telling the salesman that we probably won't even cook in it and that we just wanted something to get us out of the rain. 16 years later, I...
Welcome aboard, Bob and Pat. You joined a great bunch of people and the forums can be of so much help. Hope you can handle all the fun you are about to have. Perhaps we'll meet at the WI and IA rallies.
I agree with dbbls59's comments on the generators. Another option would be to piggyback two Honda 2000 generators.
On the stabilizers, I have used this http://www.steadyfast.com/howitworks.html system and it worked real well for me. I would definitely recommend it to any one. Very well built...
Not sure if my TST 507 is the same as yours, but on mine the sensors have to be removed to air up the tire. The company is very easy to work with and it is a very popular system.
On the bottle jack, I carry this one http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200318933_200318933 although I...
The DW was not happy with the two 4.5 in shelves in the pantry. Hence the following:
This is what it looked like before I started this project. I removed this heavy bulky shelf unit from the door. The second shelf unit was on aluminum tracks. I removed the tracks and shelf. Next I removed both...
I just finished yesterday installing a $80 Pegasus(bought on sale while at the Michigan rally last year). The problem I had on my BC and now on my BH(same faucet) is that the brass stems on the Pegasus are a little shorter than the originals and the pex line wasn't long enough to reach the stem.
I have always used a 2x4 long enough to reach from the highest AC to a little past the side of the fiver. Then I put a level on top of the 2x4 to make sure it is level. Measure from the bottom of the 2x4 to the ground. I write this measurement down on a piece of paper and affix to the dash of my...
Munzee is kind of a modern day treasure hunt. Munzers(people that play the game) deploy QR codes(called munzees) for other munzers to find. Points are earned for deploying, capping(finding munzees) and when other munzers capp your own. Go to http://www.munzee.com to find out more. Quite a few...
We purchased a wallhugger recliner and absolutely love it. We picked out the fabric we wanted. Long way from OR though. http://www.amishcountry.org/leisure/lambright-comfort-chairs
The 3010 is keeping me very busy. Been working on it every day all day. Have done several mods. You'll have to come and check them out at the Lake Delton rally. Haven't spent much time on the munzees, but have been able to get 5 cakes. See you soon.
Re: Brakes locked up while backing
It has happened to me twice. Ever since then, to get the slack out of the cable, I use a clippy and clip the cable to the side of the hitch to keep the cable off the floor. Works great.
I'm getting ready to post an article of a mod I made in the pantry. I need a couple photos emailed to me of the sliding shelf unit and shelf unit on the pantry door in a 2014 3010RE. The same setup is probably also used on different models. Thanks in advance.
I just finished the install of the Progressive PMU into my 2014 BH3010RE. You will need to purchase about a 4foot piece of 6/0 SJO cable. SJO or SO cable is pretty flexible unlike the factory cable which is extremely hard to work with. Pull out the breaker panel(not the fuse panel) and...
Congratulations yport on your new BH. Which model did you get? We brought our new BH 3010RE home Fri. Finished installing the Progressive Power Management unit this morning. Don't be without it.
