Actual weight of 3055. Pull with 2500?

If you look at the data from the Heartland rally you will see most had pin weights in middle to high 2000's. Someone only had a pin weight of 2050,but most were heavier.

Actual weight of 3055. Pull with 2500?

My first response is that you probably are not looking at enough truck. You probably will easily exceed you GVW. Your hitch will weigh 150 pounds and if you use special pin box it will weigh another 80+ pounds all on your pin or GVW. I have already learned the hard way not to trust anything in...

Another Flat Tire :( - Pressure Pro Works!

Jim, Quick question on the Pressure Pro. Did you buy the cable extension and run the antenna to the back of your truck or does it work fine just plugged into the top of the unit. Thanks

Sad story but real eye-opener on overweight towing

The story is probably a hoax but it is a just a matter of time before it becomes a reality. I have a friend in central Indiana that owns a large trucking firm that was sued and lost because one of his trucks was over weight and ran into someone and they got hurt. It was not all the trucks fault...

What is the Landmarks travel weight? (before stuff)

Slaytop, If you don't mind could you tell me what options you have on your Shenandoah. It would be a big help. I have about 3400 pounds of GVW left so it is pretty close. Do you have a trailaire or second air conditioner both of which would probably go right to pin weight. Granite might be a...

What is the Landmarks travel weight? (before stuff)

Slaytop, you are doing just what I was planning on doing. I too was considering the 19.5 rickson wheels just for the added security. Thanks for the post

What is the Landmarks travel weight? (before stuff)

I am planning on pulling it with a 1 ton Ford PSD SRW. I have weighed my truck with fuel and passengers and have about 15100 pounds left for the trailer to stay under my GCVW of 23000. At first glance a trailer that has a dry weight of say 12500 would appear to be shoe in to pull, but I am...

What is the Landmarks travel weight? (before stuff)

I was wondering if any of you would post your rigs weight before you added all your stuff. I am having a hard time with all the fifth wheels I look at figuring out which ones I can actually tow. The dry weights are overly optimistic in every way even if it includes most features that are...

Another Flat Tire :( - Pressure Pro Works!

Update on the 17.5"tires. I just looked at an 07 Mt Rushmore and it still has the 16" tires. The dealer called the factory and the official response was that the website is wrong and they don't have nor are they going to have 17.5" tires. The whole thing seems a little strange to me. It takes 2...

    Enquiring minds want to know

I agree with Ken on the plumbing job. Warranty or not if Heartland built it that way they should make it right. I believe I am going to purchase a Mt Rushmore here soon, but pictures like that are really giving me second thoughts.

Okay do you or don't you need a slider??

Thanks for the replies. I heard so many good things about the Pullrite superglide that I thought maybe I wanted it even if I don't need it, but it also ways 300 pounds with the rails.

Okay do you or don't you need a slider??

I am seriously considering pulling the trigger on a Mt Rushmore, but I can't decide if I need sliding hitch or not. I realize with the extended pin and the Landmark cap design you shouldn't need a slider but I was wondering what everyones real world experiance was with a short bed. If it makes...

Another Flat Tire :( - Pressure Pro Works!

I have been looking at purchasing a new Mt Rushmore . Looking under the specifications on the Landmark website it now lists LT235/85r17.5g rated tires for the GC,MR and Monticello. I at first thought 17.5's would be a good thing, but I can't seem to find any manufacturers that make that size...
