the answer to your question about RT2 in vermont is, yes the road is fine for towing a 5ver on. There is a problem though with obtaining diesel fuel. There are not very stations that supply diesel fuel along the route in vermont or maine carry a little extra for that trip.:)
I have just returned from Penn country and guess what? Another Wheel leak (Aluminum Wheels) and a blown tire. I was so happy I almost made it home. This is the fourth trip in a row that I have had to change a tire in the breakdown lane on a major highway because of wheel or tire problems...
Scott
I'm sorry I didn't include this in my first reply, but I am most interested in reaching the manufacturer of Trail America tires. I have not been able to locate phone numbers or a web site
Thank You
Scott
Thank you for the very informative response to the tire issue. The last line of your response is all most people have to know. Is there a web site or phone numbers that you can share with us in case we have more problems and need to contact them for repacements or repairs.
Thank You...
Jim thanks for the reply. I guess I was trying to see if Heartland has made any statements to you on one of your tours to the plant, about the ongoing problems with tires that I have been witness to first hand or am reading about in the forum.
With this said I want you to know that this is...
Jim I know I promised not to get in this discussion about tires again, but I cannot for the life of me understand why Heartland will not help the consumer with this problem. You have changed out your tires a I am reading that a lot of owners are doing the same. If there is not a problem (as I...
Guy's look at my post on safety items under aluminum rims and tires. these kind of events are unexceptible. Heartland thinks they are because of the statistics that they are aware of. Please report your event to the NTSB web site. Before somebody really gets hurt or worst. Blown tires or rims...
It sounds like I am not the only one with problems on our rigs that are safety issues. I logged onto the NTSB web site and I am going to report my concerns (Just mine). It woud be adventageous for all owners with safety problems not broken chairs, or awnings that are defective but real life...
Princess Kathleen, You don't see anything wrong with your rig being in the shop 57 days out of 180? At that rate you will be using your rig only on a half time bases. That statistic dos not set well with me when I want to full time.
Scott Thank you again and trust me there is some fustration and fear when I am on a trip as to. What next? I will be in contact with my dealer soon and see how the situation is going. They have my rig now while I wait for the new rim that was ordered (At least 2 months now) and a recliner...
Thank you Scott for your reply. I am in no way or have I ever accused Heartland of not being interested in the safety of their customers, the wheel and tire problems that I have experienced first hand were not stories or figments of my imagination. Some one could have been hurt in my first...
This note was placed in tires tires tires about three week ago and I am still mad about the situation. We all thought we purchased a quality producd from Heartland and we find out that the tires blow and the rims explode. Does anyone know if the safety bureau is all interested in the problems we...
I have just returned from a trip to Maine. The aluminum rims on my 3600RL have been on the rig for a year that I know of. During my trip I stopped at a rest area and noticed that I had a tire going soft, I check my tires at every rest area I pull into because I had a Tire blow on another trip...
Thanks Mark I did call fantastic vent rep and they were great to talk to. They are sending me a repair kit for both my fans at no cost. Great to find a company that responds to problems like fantastic vent.
Thank yo again:D
