I do not have any faith that RVW will make things right. I'll re-post the results of all this, but it may take a while. We will fight till death if necessary. They also don't know what a good blogger I am, nor that I plan to write to Good Sam's Highways magazine. This is not over by all means.
Well my husband and I finally bought a new trailer yesterday. Even though I had a bad taste in my mouth with Heartland over the whole MPG deal, we ended up getting a new Focus FX17 from a local dealer. They gave us very good deal when we told them of our recent bad experience with RVW.
It is...
Steve, I agree that this was smart of you. I wish I had done that, but I don't think they would have sent me pics even if I asked, because they barely replied to my emails or returned my calls when I asked for updates and for them to contact me to make sure that everything was good to go before...
You will no longer get what is shown in the brochure or on Heartlands MPG video! I would see if your dealer has one on the lot that was made before the changes.
We did just that, the driver offered to take it back if we were not satisfied. He said it wouldn't be the first time he would have to return a trailer. He also said if he were us, he wouldn't have even bothered looking inside after seeing the damaged/missing heating pads. He tried calling the...
As the customer who thought they were buying all the nice features that were shown in the brochure and on Heartland's MPG video, the unexpected changes certainly were downgrades. The windows were obviously cheaper, the flooring was the same flooring you are putting in your lower grade model...
Very true Riverman! and Mcreech, the dealer should have had the decency to inform me of these huge changes once they received it and definitely before they shipped it out! I had been emailing them for the past several weeks to make sure everything was as ordered and they did not respond. We...
So your telling me Heartland had downgraded the MPG Platinum Pkg! That info should have been passed down to the dealer and we the buyer should have been warned about that at the time we ordered it! The whole reason we went with your MPG instead of the R-Pod was specifically because of those...
My husband and I decided after several months of researching trailers that we liked what we saw in person, in photos and what we read in your 2011 brochure about on the MPG with the Platinum pkg. In February, we ordered an MPG 185 with the Platinum pkg from RV Wholesalers, but unfortunately, we...
I just might end up making a small foldaway table, that is another reason why I was curious about the dimensions of the table in the 184. I just needed to know the L x W x H. My guess is that it could be a 42 x 18 x 29. I would like to see how close I am in my guess.
Thanks for the tip. When you use that Coleman table, is the one piece long enough for two to eat on? I would think you might need a table that is at least 42" long x 18" wide.
Just wondering if anyone on the forum owns a 184 and if they can tell me the size of their table top. I am getting the 185 but we want to find a folding table that is the same size as the one in the 184. This way we will have the option to leave our dinette as a bed and have our meals sitting...
I thought about the dinette/bed issue before we ordered our 185 but I just figured that when it is just the hubby and I, we will just leave the bed made up and use a small table (like the one in the R-Pod 175) at the sofa slideout to sit and eat our meals. When we camp with friends, (they...
Problem solved! My dealer is going to replace the microwave oven with a convection microwave, the same one that Forest River uses in their R-Pod, but I do have to pay the difference. It is well worth it, I like to have the ability to bake when I camp.
Just wandering if Heartland is planning to have a Microwave Convection oven option for the MPG in the very VERY near future.
FYI... the R-Pod has one, and since the MPG seems a bit more upscale I would think it should have a Microwave convection oven, and of course this feature would...
My tow rating is 5000 lbs. But I live in Utah with mountains all around so I just don't want to get too close to my tow rating when you figure in all the weight beyond the dry wt.
Just wandering if you will have a Microwave Convection oven option for the MPG in the very near future since there is no oven in this unit.
FYI... the R-Pod has one, and since the MPG is a bit more upscale I think it should have a Microwave convection oven offered very soon.
