Leaving the Heartland North Trail Family...

The end is near, the new Premier 31BHPR is in and we are doing paperwork. The height was not the only issue but the Premier has 3 inch axles vs. the 1.5 inch on the North Trail, this is a positive to me after hearing of some with bent axles. Good luck all, loved our NT 30QOK

Leaving the Heartland North Trail Family...

... after 2 years. I have loved our NT 30QOK for the last 2 years and enjoyed many trips in it. We love the layout of this unit. Unfortunately the ground clarence has done us in. We have a couple of other concerns, mainly the axles and the front shell of the trailer, problems like others...

Hot Water Heater overheats and breakers tripping

At most campgrounds we have been at we are good running AC and water heater but at a couple, the breaker popped so we went on propane for the water and all was good, it is just the campground power. Never noticed it overflowing but if it did, i would just say the valve is doing it's job.

    weather alarm

At first we put the volume down, then the annoying alarm would go off ifthe volume was down so we switch the skeakers off just like another poster. Now we leave the TV on for the dog so she does not have to deal with it. On the other hand, the radio has not come on for awhile, I played with...

    26RLSS 2013 Slideout question

Mine came with the tool to use, it was in the blue bag, I think the directions are there as well. We also have the tool for the jacks which we have used a number of times and something for the hitch jack. Good luck seeing how it all goes together.

Not Going to lie, pretty dissapointed with Heartland's North Trail product

Hi Nathan, first thing I have to say is why Friendly Beaver, I hate that place LOL. I have a 2011 30 QOK. We love the unit and I live at the outside kitchen but there are some issues. It is low and I did not think of that until I was trying to get it in the driveway and it bottomed out. The...

ATF: North Trail - NEED AC VENTS IN BATHROOM

If it is too bad, we leave the door open and hope you are not in there too long when you need the door closed. Other days we can leave the outside door in the bathroom open when the AC is on and we keep the bathroom door closed so we do not lose the cool air.

ATF: North Trail - Dimple / Indentation on front of travel trailer

I have similar marks on the front of mine, mostly up and down the edges where it goes under the corner molding but a number of others. Seems to grow each time we use it, traveling down the highway at 55-60 MPH. To me this just seemed normal, hopefully nothing is wrong.

    weather alarm

I would like to find a way to disable just the weather radio. Last year not a problem, just kept the volume off when not in use, this year since the volume is off we get a high alarm sound that drives us nuts. We leave the radio on sometimes for the dog but to return to the weather alerts is...

Clearance problems with front mounted spare on TT?

Re: Clearance problems with front mouted spare on TT? I took mine off, it dragged going in and out of the driveway. The back end drags as well so we have to drive on a pile of 2X10's to get in and out of the driveway.

    Rear Bumper Mounted Propane Grill

I guess it makes sense that if there was a problem they would not let you mount the grill on the side but I was always afraid that I would be the one with the problem.

ATF: North Trail - 2nd A/C in my North Trail 5th Wheel

Do you have a 50 amp plug or 30 amp? Most if not all units that have 2 AC's use 50 amp. If you only have 30 amp then it looks like there could be a little work.

    Rear Bumper Mounted Propane Grill

I have the quick connect at the rear corner of my North Trail, I looked at getting the bumper attachment but did not, currently I am using a small table. One does not leave the grill attached while traveling so bouncing is not a problem. The unit attaches to the bumper similar to a spare tire...

    Bunk in Bunk room

You would lose space in your kitchen and in some models it would lower the door too low to stand under. I have the 30 OKQ and the door is already low, my some thought he was going to sleep up there but ented up on the table on the other side of the room.`

    Spare tire

I took mine off and put it in the back of the truck, plenty of room there. It dragged in and out of the driveway.

    pull out bike rack

I have only used mine as a shelf once set up at a camp site. The trailer is so low that I would not be able to travel with it out, I bottom out enough as it is. Have to stack up boards to get in and out of the driveway, would not work with the rack out. It is handy when using the outside...

ATF: North Trail - No Satellite Cable Hookup for NT29RLSS

Just looking at pictures from the dealer I have to ask what the connection is in the direct center on the back. It looks like a cable connection. I cannot imagine any trailer being built without one. If you need more than that for satalite I would not know about that.

ATF: North Trail - water pump

    Move Spare Tire Mount

We carry ours tire in the truck. Took it off so it would not drag pulling in and out of the driveway, now if I could figure out how to keep the bumber, rear jacks and grey tank pipe from dragging without using boards to get in and out of the driveway...

    Door locks

I have tyhe same thing on the reg doors, 2 keys but one door is to the bathroom so we leave the key unlocked and just use the deadbolt. As for the compartments, I find it funny that you have different keys, I have one key for the front storage and the outside kitchen. In fact it is my...

2011 24RBS North Trail Travel Trailer Mattress

ur 30QOK came with a queen spring with a piece of cloth on it, no wood so it is not a box spring, just a spring. We put a topper on it but it has not helped as much as I wanted to. Will either upgrade or get a better topper for next year.

WEll, once the things have been fixed all is good. We love our trailer, have not used the inside sink since I fixed it since I love the outside kitchen so much we do everything there. We do have one more thing to fix/change, the queen matress is a spring with a piece of cloth on it and needs...

New trailer is in the shop after our first trip

As for the leak under the kitchen sink, took everything apart and re-screwed everything together and it seems fine, I think a few things were loose, no big deal. Just returned from another 4 nights and everything was fine this time out.

Have had the trailer back a couple weeks used it this weekend, everything they fixed is good but now we have a leak under the itchen sink, will try to get that taken care of this week on my own, hopefully just something loose. To fix the TV problem, they found 6 issues with wire and or...

ATF: North Trail - Trailer clearence issue

I have checked the tire pressure as the tires look low but they are spot on to what the sidewall says they should be so I do not want to over inflate. I have ben using 10 foot 2X10's, 6 of them to get in and out of the driveway, so far they work but it is a bit of a pain. I have a $2,400 quote...

New trailer is in the shop after our first trip

Hopefully all will be good but hate to have it in the shop. The reason we made the appointment was the rear jack motor snapped off the trailer, the RV dealer said to drop it off on our way home from Memorial Day which we did. While camping in it for the first time, the list grew to about 7...

ATF: North Trail - Do not know what this switch does

My switch for hot water is on the wall outside the bedroom. I was told that they outside and inside switch had to be on for it to work on electric. I was also told it would not run on both gas and electric but was not sure why it wouldn't, other trailers do. Glad you figured it out.

ATF: North Trail - Do not know what this switch does

On my 30QOK, that switch turns on the inside lights in the main part of the camper, in mine it turns on 3 or 4 lights. Each light can also be turned off by the switch on the light, not sure if yours is the same.

ATF: North Trail - Trailer clearence issue

The trailer is level when connected to the truck. I tried pulling in and out without the WDH hooked up but that did not work. I have tried adding some asfault to try to raise the low park but that did not help either. Driving on boards has not worked well but we might try another set up of...

ATF: North Trail - Trailer clearence issue

I have a new NT30QOK and have a problem with the clearence from the ground to the bottom of the trailer. Not sure if something is wrong or if it is just a bad design. I first noticed a hight issue when looking at it and standing at the outside kitchen, my head was just about touching the...

    New RKDD owner - questions?

Hi, I just looked at the specs and just see the gray tanks listed as 1 37 gallon tank, where did you see that each is 37 gallons? I only ask because my 30QOK has 2 tanks as well and I am wondering how often I will need to connect a 2nd hose or move the hose over to the other tank.

North Trail & Caliber TT owners: What persuaded you to purchase?

Layout and weight for the most part, actually paid more than I had planned but it was such a good fit for us that we went for it. Can't wait to use it.

ATF: North Trail - 24-RBS shipping weight

If you subtract out the jacks and the AC, then you will be closer to the weight in the book. The dry weight is what they are shooting for, during construction they may have substatuted something that weighted more.
