Sent in photos of the tires / axle as requested and Lieppert is sending me a new axle.... woohooo! Excellent customer service... rare these days!

Called Heartland regarding the possible bent axle... was referred to Lieppert Components (866-524-7821) the frame / axle supplier. By the way... the MPG is no longer in production... not enough sales.

1 year old... No overloading, no pot holes, curb contact, etc. When we first bought the unit and were coming back home to BC from Texas (dealer) we had a right tire tread failure. Les Shwab said it was a lining separation but it was inside wear as well. I will call Heartland and see what they say.

We have a 181 and have noticed noticeable wear on the inside edge of BOTH tires. The tires are also splayed out at the bottom when viewed from the rear. Went to the reputable axle shop and was advised that I need a new axle... $500 installed and it cannot be bent back.... Any ideas? Has anyone...

I asked the same question of Heartland engineering last year for my 181.... they said no due to fact the rear was not designed to accommodate a retrofitted window. The newer models come with a rear window. I would love to see the drawings of the unit to see where the stringers? and other...

No snow here (just outside of Vancouver, BC)... If snow is required, its a 45 minute drive to the closest ski resort! By the way.... our 181 was purchased in Ft Worth, TX (big savings over the price they wanted at the local dealer here.)

We received our custom 181 cover (they had it in stock!). Opted for the SunBrella fabric which is the best I'm told. Fits pretty near like a glove... Paid ADCO $459 shipped. Will try and attach pics.

We have a 181... where is the hot water heater bypass? The HW tank is next to the furnace which is accessible under the queen bed but the HW tank only has access from the outside panel.

I called Heartland... they are always great at getting bacj to my inquires... ½ inch wrench at the end of the motor on the rod will manually crank the room, you may have to remove the kick panel at the bottom of the room from the inside to access. Thanks, Ian Roberts Dealer/Customer Service...

I spoke with the Heartland factory and they said you cannot retrofit the window due to the fact there is no framing in that area and cutting would compromise the integrity.

Can I order and install a back window (same dimensions as front window) ? Where would one cut as not to disturb wiring, cross members, etc?

oops ... the MTW (max trailer weight) should be 2311 not 3211... so we should be good for 1389 payload

Checked the manual and spoke to Chrysler tech.... MTW with 2 adults is 3700, CVWR is 8600. The true empty weight of this particular 18o is 3211 so we can tow with our van. I was wondering if any minivan owners had any issues towing a 108 /181?

We have a loveable 74 Trillium 1300 but its too small for us. The MPG180 appeals to us as a replacement. anyone have issues towing with a minivan? We have a 2008 Chrysler T&C with factory tow package.
