    Heartland northtrail 25 ft rl

Would love to hear your baggage door remedy. Two years ago had repeated leaks so bad water would enter the bed room, this year nothing, although we had very little rain while away this year . I have been using the gutter extensions for some time.

ATF: North Trail - Door closer is loosening

I had this problem as well. I camp always in extreme wind as i'm into wind sports. I felt the design with what the screws had to tap into would lead to this problem reoccurring. My solution was to drill right through the door, caulk, and insert bolts right through with largish washers preventing...

    Heartlands comitment to Caliber edition

Was waiting for your thoughts :) I agree, as we still love our trailer too. True it is about money and what sells, and we will never know what are the losers. This is why i started the thread as i wanted to see if others though as me, or how much demand could be seen. When traveling i need my...

    Heartlands comitment to Caliber edition

Tmicheals We have the cabinet door for the bathroom vanity base cabinet, as well as the center one over the bed and slide/switch cover. What are the Azdel composite exterior panels ? Not sure we got those. Does everyone have the frame-less windows ? The Calibers at the show didn't if i remember...

    Heartlands comitment to Caliber edition

mjd2k - Tmichaels Bought ours in March 2011 along side another couple who were buying a 2011 Caliber 26RLSS. Theirs was painted Gray as i though ours would be, till they pulled our white one out and parked it next to theirs. A complicated conversation evolved between both couples and the dealer...

    Heartlands comitment to Caliber edition

I think/hope our trailer has got a number of years left in it. It's just my wife and i so we aren't to hard on it. Basically it's used for the summer months in Hatteras NC. as my wife is a teacher and i shut down my business for a month and a half. We are into Windsurfing and kite-surfing so...

    Heartlands comitment to Caliber edition

Yes i did notice the Sundance TTs they do look interesting, limited to larger sizes though. A quick google search however didn't prove much (TT) availability and dealer network. Here again however it appears everything is based on options. Seems duplication is rampant, so many brands with no...

    Heartlands comitment to Caliber edition

Fishing for thoughts here on the Caliber Edition brand. I was at our local (Toronto, Can.) Rv show recently and saw little that would entice me to make a Heartland purchase. Obviously local Heartland dealers cannot bring everything out but i also feel the product doesn't stand out the way it...

    Uncomfortable tow

Re: Uncomfotable tow I'm not suggesting you go anywhere like this, but have you tried a trial pull with nothing other than being balled on ? It might give you some different feel/feedback that you can build on. Just a thought.

    Uncomfortable tow

Re: Uncomfotable tow goducks. Sorry to hear the problem has persisted. I have to believe there is something different or miss-installed in/with the trailer. As i'm sure you'll remember we have the same trailer/model and i pull with a Ram 1500 with no problem. I actually have very little sway...

North Trail & Caliber TT owners: What persuaded you to purchase?

Don't forget RuralPastor, WCB, and there are others. I do know what you mean as the BUDS floor-plan seems pretty popular, i think we might be #2 though. I actually was thinking of starting an anything about LRSS thread, what do you think ? Speaking of sweet spots and the like, i was thinking...

North Trail & Caliber TT owners: What persuaded you to purchase?

Berky. Your last statement sums up my thoughts and reasons exactly "While other brands might have some comparable features, we felt that no other brought it all together like North Trail". The cap was a biggie for me as it was not as excessive (unnecessarily heavy) as the...

    Ordering a North Trail 26lrss

Tmichaels. Welcome and can say as a Caliber 26rlss owner you will love your purchase. As for the mileage, sorry but i try not to keep track as ignorance is bliss sometimes. I will say your 9-11mpg estimate seems fair though. There must be some gain to the mpg's for trailers with caps but not...

considering buying a 2011 Heartland Northtrail 28 BRS... NEED ADVICE

Make sure you have a tow-haul shift, tranny cooler, and 3.92 gearing. You need these. You will be fine, once you enjoy a season or two you will upgrade to a truck with a Hemi.

weight of front cap and bike rack 28 BRS

I had some dealers suggest a cap can add 300 to 600lbs depending on brand and model. I feel the Heartland CE cap is on the smaller side so probably on the lighter side of that range. As for the bumper slide carrier I'd guess at 150lbs. I have no real reliable source for this info though.

    Trip to Colorado 2011

Actually i was jumping to conclusions as the pic in your avatar/sig looked like a white body colour. Interesting the differences and shows how the model changed mid year which leaves me wondering if a white CE is a 2012. My dealer commented the CE 26RLSS coming in now don't have my options. Not...

    Trip to Colorado 2011

Ha Ha! i'm not sure if Heartland knew what they were doing in 2011. When i purchase my dealer was sometimes referring to my trailer as a 2011,then 2011.5 then 2012. i changed my signature text today from 2012 to 2011 but i think really 2011.5 is best representative of the features, but really...

Front Fiberglass Cap for NT Caliber Edition?

I bought the Caliber for the upgrades and the cosmetic's of the cap. I'm sure there is some advantage to the cap but question any big gain in aerodynamics or reduced leaking. However car companies will smooth out designs and claim huge drag gains in the wind tunnel with far less change than cap...

Unless i have missed it, Heartland hasn't fallen over it's self addressing the silly NOAA warning issue. Re: ATF: North Trail - Do i require slide locks I thank you all for your thoughts but i thought this was where i would be able to get the factory's stance on slide locks. I posted this question in the general area and was directed here. Where is the factory dudes and dudetts ?

ATF: North Trail - Do I require slide locks?

I have been talking with some RVer's that require slide locks on there trailers while traveling. Saw a thread discussing this on Trailer Life forum. Due to a long up coming trip am wondering, do the North Trail TTs require slide locks. What is my slide mechanism called, will they help the...

    Slide locks

    Dead Battery

So... are you suggesting three weeks is not enough time to drain the battery? I thought the microwave display and the co detector and some similar devices might be enough to kill it. Are you thinking i might have another issue if it's dead after 3 weeks?

    Dead Battery

Ok, so i guess i pulled a rookie mistake. Put the trailer in storage, about three weeks now. Checked it today and the battery is dead. I checked that all was off but realized now i did not unplug the microwave. What should i be doing? Is there and easy way (at the panel) to turn everything...
