Sulastic Shackles For Improved Ride Quality?

Well, they finally created a shipping label at least....... Hope I see the replacements next week. I had forgotten about the Morryde option. It's about twice as much money, but a definitely proven design. If this next set of shackles has the same issue I may have to make the swap.

Sulastic Shackles For Improved Ride Quality?

Well, the ride was improved for a short period of time. They have been on the truck for about 4000 miles but are now completely sacked out on the stops. I noticed this shortly after a 2500 mile trip towing the Cyclone. They say i got a bad/weak set, but it's been 7 weeks of phone calls, emails...

2015- Cyclone 4200 Options Changed and Deleted !!!

Never adjusted any of my screen doors in three trailers/21 years. I too would like to know where to buy G614's for $200. I'd buy a truckload, sell for $300ea, and retire!

    614 Blowout

Glad you got away with minimal damage. A fender is an easy fix! Did your dealer have any issues getting the old tire on/off the rim? I have mounted both G614's on my Cyclone and Sailun S637's on a customer's Bighorn and they were the tightest fit. Both have OEM installed Sendel wheels.......I...

Sulastic Shackles For Improved Ride Quality?

I searched around here for info on the Sulastic Shackles:http://www.sulastic.com/sulastic?pagenumber=3 from people who tow, but found nothing...... I have recently been irritated by the harsh ride from my rear suspension. I'm assuming maybe the springs have sagged a bit and am hitting the...

    Sailun S637 G rated

I just sold some to some friends/customers of mine for their BigHorn as replacements for the separated TowMax's. Although these were the first S637's, I have sold many med duty Sailun tires to budget conscious fleet customers. My recommendation is always an american made tire like Goodyear or...

    World's First Triple Axle 300C?

I was backwards on my math for the ratio! I figured 380lb per 1000lb loaded center in the garage with my wheelbase. Your wheelbase is at least 16" shorter so it should be a tad more.....closer to 400-410? Hard to calculate without a wheelbase measurement. The sway mine experienced wasn't out of...

    World's First Triple Axle 300C?

I just layed down a carpeted piece of 1/2" plywood and all has been fine. If I was going to put all three of mine in the center of the compartment, I would have added something to stiffen it up a bit. The size of the 8D's is a nice fit for the front compartment. Check on the price per Ah of...

    World's First Triple Axle 300C?

I'll be interested in where your weights come out too! I bet yours is closer to the 2,900lb listed spec. than mine was. With the 7.5" the axle group moved back, the 9" shorter pin box, 8D batteries, and refer in the front cabinet.....I expected mine to be a bit heavier.

    World's First Triple Axle 300C?

The scale would be easier to use with a standard trailer, but I just used a piece of flat plate set on top of my hitch, then the scale, and then set the pin on top of the scale.

    World's First Triple Axle 300C?

Figured I would update after I moved some cargo around to lighten the hitch up a bit. I got a Sherline Scale http://www.sherline.com/lm.htm so that I wouldn't have to keep driving to the truck scale to reweigh each time a change was made. So far I have gotten it down to 3,150 empty and 3,450...

    Cargo capacities

2,500 is the garage floor rating. CCC is whole other deal. I'm betting the 18' garage has more than a 2,500 lb rating Mine came in at 11,722 as delivered and a posted 4,230 CCC for a total of 15,952 of a 16,000 GVW I guess the extra 48lb is for propane.......We easily went right on past that...

3.5K capacity is hardly adequate for a vehicle that sleeps 8-10 people and hauls toys! 4K plus a full water tank would be a good start......

    Cargo capacities

I put almost 2500lb or more in the center proximity of my garage every trip out and the only effect I can tell other than reduced pin weight is better overall ride and handling of the trailer.

    Almost there

We looked at the 4114 this winter as well as a five other Cyclones, two Raptors, and a Fusion. We decided IF we were going to buy another toyhauler in this price category, if could be be the 4114. I really like the bed/bath layout of our 300C, so that might push us into the Road Warrior 400...

    Garmin RV 760 ????

I have the Dezl 760 and it ask on startup which vehicle profile I want to use. Truck, RV, or auto. I would assume the RV version would be much the same. Coming from the older Garmin with 4" max screen size, I really like the 7" screen and the visibility of the animated lane position assistance...

Took delivery of our 300C finally!

Thanks again! The only thing I didn't like about the outcome is that it ended up 1" taller than I wanted, but it would have either been a ton more work or not as strong to keep it low.

Took delivery of our 300C finally!

It it nice to be what feels like done with this project. The rig has been trouble free for the past year and a half and that gave me time to focus on the upgrades and camping. Adding that third axle was quite a job to say the least. It took months of measuring, guessing, and acquiring parts. My...

Took delivery of our 300C finally!

Thank you Alex. The trailer unhooks/hooks with one person easily as long as the ground is flat and hard surface....anything else requires a second person. Unload, unhook and door open within maybe 10 mins? I used standard 2" receiver, 5/8" hitch pins, and a 4way flat for the LED lights. I have...

Took delivery of our 300C finally!

Newer addition to the family...... Seems like no matter how big your garage is, you still run out of room. I built this swivel wheel trailer last summer to fit two ATV's or one ATV one cycle for when the Maverick is in the garage.

No, but you can get the rockers, bushings, wet bolts, and shackles in a kit and save a few bucks.

    World's First Triple Axle 300C?

The distance between front and rear pair is 29.5" and between the center pair is 34". This gives you 33" axle spacing and room for a fixed rocker mount for the center axle. You are correct, 4.25" hangers with 2.5" tube gives approx 3" additional height from stock. These hangers/cams are obsolete...

    World's First Triple Axle 300C?

If you moved the axles back 30", you would likely end up with 7k on the hitch. Thinking the front of the chassis won't the like that much. I have yet to weigh mine, but moving the axles group back 7.5" was like 2.7% of the wheelbase. 13k sprung weight, should be around 380lb added to the hitch...

    World's First Triple Axle 300C?

Hey Matt! I was wondering how long it was putting a take you to popp in here..... I did build a whole sub frame, but had to install it in parts around the plumbing. It was also much easier for my wife and I to handle. The side rails alone weighed almost 100lb each. Nothing had to be...

    Michelin RIB or Goodyear G614?

I was toying with Chinese 16"G's, G614 and the 17.5 upgrade last year. I went the G614 route cause I was short on funds, I had a big trip coming up, and it was somewhere in the middle best bang for buck. They have been on there for 1.5 seasons without incident and one time I was over that tire's...

    World's First Triple Axle 300C?

I had left the axle tracking cams in the neutral position figuring on checking/setting it up after everything settled in. I knew the original hangers were welded 3/8" too far forward on the right frame rail, so made that adjustment before welding the right side up. At first, I was pleased to...

To the OP: Nowhere in this thread did I see which models you are interested in. There are a few in the line up that could work for you, so don't give up. My 300C, just over 40', only weighed in a little under 12K gvw empty with a gvwr of 16K.......CCC right at 4,300lb. Plenty of capacity for...
