    GT-2.0 A,B,C Volume adjustments

I can't figure out how to adjust the independent zones for A,B & C volume(s). I tried the setup menu, but my Genesis doesn't show Front, Center, Rear. My only 2 choices are Audio Out and Key. Is there something I'm missing...or is there a firmware upgrade?

    Dark lines on ceiling

You were right! We do burn an occasional candle...and cooking smoke perhaps. Used a mild detergent, and it cleaned up fine...it's just intersting that it outlined the framing members. thanks for the advice!

    Dark lines on ceiling

I've noticed for some time that certain times of the day, I can see faint darker lines on the ceiling. They almost look like shadows. They follow the lines of the aluminum rafters. Also, I see it on some of the interior walls as well. Is this normal?

Carefree of Colorado SL Window Awning vs Sunshade

I was thinking that the roller shade would have about an inch air gap between the window and the shade, but the shade is partially transparent, so some sun will be filtered in to the window. However, with the awning, some of the sun may strike the window directly depending on the angle of the...

Carefree of Colorado SL Window Awning vs Sunshade

I'm considering installing a couple of Window Awnings on my FW, but after looking at the www.carefreeofcolorado.com website, I see that they have a roller-style window shade as well. It's recommended for the rear window, but I don't know why it couldn't be used on any window. Can anyone...

AntennaTek Doesn't Crank Up and Down

I haven't had the opportunity to tell how well the antenna performed. Since we bought the RV, we've mostly had cable. When we leave this area, I'll keep an eye on it to see how we're doing compared to the 'neighbors'. The head unit looks fairly simple to remove and replace, if...

AntennaTek Doesn't Crank Up and Down

After working with AntennaTek, they agreed to send me a gear kit. It seems that the plastic gear (attached to the shaft) was broken below the o-ring...I didn't even know there was an o-ring, until I forced the shaft out...then the o-ring came out as well, but the rest of the plastic is stuck...

AntennaTek Doesn't Crank Up and Down

I was going to do that, but I felt kind of bad as I already have two other claims for unrelated items...I guess I shouldn't worry about that.

AntennaTek Doesn't Crank Up and Down

I have a 2014 Gateway with an AntennaTek Antenna. I'm not sure which model. I think it may be Model #500. It rotates fine, but doesn't crank up or down. I removed the plastic plug on top...and the handle from the inside. Also removed the pins holding the antenna. Then, I removed the worm...

    L-Shaped Chaise Sofa

Has anyone else had a problem with their L-shaped Chaise Lounge Sofa? The recliners are made pretty well, but the chaise lounge section (adjacent to the kitchen countertop) is made very poorly. We're having a problem with the foam padding getting bunched up and showing unsightly ripples in the...

Looking for Tonneau Cover that will work with truck tool box

Does anyone know of a tonneau cover that will work with a low-profile toolbox. The toolbox height is slightly lower than the top of the bedrails. There is about 1-1/2" of clearance on either side of the tool box (between the lid and bed rails). I'm concerned that the tonneau cover hardware...

    Show off your towing rig!

Gus, Does your Truxedo Rollup Tonneau cover work well with the Toolbox? I have an 'in-the-bed' tool box, but it only has about 1-1/2" of clearance on either side (to the bed rails). I'm concerned that the tonneau mounting hardware will interfere with the toolbox or toolbox lid. Any info you...

Frustration with Dish Tailgater and my Big Country 3650RL

It doesn't sound like you have a cabling problem, otherwise you wouldn't hear the motor running in the tailgater. Also, I'm assuming you are seeing the setup screen on the TV, but it just doesn't find the satellite signal(s). I can tell you that we had the same problem. I even tried running...

    Roof-Mounted Kayaks on 5er

    Roof-Mounted Kayaks on 5er

I already practiced getting them on the roof. It really wasn't much of a problem. I did it on a windy day...just to see. I clipped a strap to the top handle, then stood it upright. The wife balanced it, while I climbed to the roof. Then I pulled it straight up the ladder, and over onto the...

    Under-mount Sink came loose

We've had two Heartland Fifth wheels, and they both had the same problem. Missing Mounting Clips. I made some homemade clips using larger washers and screws. It's kind of difficult to get to all 4 sides of the sink, but once it's done, you'll never have another problem...And don't forget the...

    Roof-Mounted Kayaks on 5er

It's only about an inch higher than the rear a/c cover. And I have a front A/C unit, which is higher. So,I think I'm ok. It looks like the roof trusses are aluminum, covered with 3/8" OSB, so I think I can secure it nicely with 1" or 1-1/2" screws. What do you think about that?
  27. brlr2000

    Roof-Mounted Kayaks on 5er

There is quite a bit of stuff already mounted on top (A/C, Vents, Antenna, etc.), so I'm not really concerned about leaks. I will be using Dicor to seal all the screw holes. As far as weight on the roof, I'm not concerned about that because it will be spread over a large area. I know that...

    Roof-Mounted Kayaks on 5er

We have 2 Kayaks (about 10 ft long) and I'm considering mounting them on the roof of our Fifth Wheel (2014 Gateway 3500RE). I plan on putting them near the rear of the roof, as it is lower. I'm thinking of mounting a couple of aluminum rails (1-1/2" sq tubing) horizontally across the roof...

    Furnace vs. Electric Fireplace/Spaceheater(s)

We're paying 12 cents/kWh, and about $2.60 for propane. So, depending upon the efficiency of the propane heater...it may be cheaper to run the furnace.

    Furnace vs. Electric Fireplace/Spaceheater(s)

    Furnace vs. Electric Fireplace/Spaceheater(s)

Hopefully, I'm posting this question on the right forum...When staying in a CG that charges for electrical power, do you normally use the propane furnace or electric fireplace/spaceheater? I've run the calculations of the cost of propane heat compared to killowatts for electric heat...and found...

    Hot Floor

We have the Gateway 3500RE, and have also noticed the warm floor in the bathroom area. After investigating underneath, I found nothing unusual. The ductwork is located close to the floor, and the heat naturally stays near the ducts. I am not too concerned with it, although it may be more...

    Wash & Wax Products

I tried Rejex twice on our older 2009 Big Country, but was disappointed. I followed the instructions by removing the old wax (with Dawn), and then applying Rejex. It seemed to streak too much for my liking. I contacted the manufacturer, and they didn't have a good answer. On our new 2014...

Gateway 3500RE slideout floor not level with main floor

I would like to adjust the slideout, but it seems to me since the inside seals (along the vertical walls) are tight, I don't think the slide can move out any further. If it can't move out any further, how can it drop down into place? I'm pretty puzzled with this one.

Gateway 3500RE slideout floor not level with main floor

I checked underneath...both inside and outside. I don't see anything blocking it from dropping. However the slide is still sitting on the top edge of the roller, even when fully extended. I can't see how it could ever drop down...assuming both the door side and offdoor side slides work the...
